With the constant improvement of the agricultural mechanization in our country, the usage of the tractor also increased greatly, and the safety of the tractor protection device performance is getting more and more attention. In this paper, the strength test of tractor protection device is mainly based on standard GB/T 19498-19498 "the agriculture, forestry and tractor protection device static test methods and acceptance criteria" and GB/T 7121.1 2008 "agriculture, forestry and wheeled tractor protection device strength test methods and acceptance criteria Part 1:static test method for the rear type ", GB/T 21956.3 2008 "the agriculture, forestry and narrow wheel track wheeled tractor protection device strength test methods and acceptance criteria Part 3:rear type static test method to carry on the design. It according to the above criteria, and then test the tractor protection device for longitudinal, lateral thrust and crush, to simulate when the tractor back or side tipping its protective device under load to test the strength of the tractor protection device, when its assessment of the tractor overturned the security performance of the protective device. To ensure the strength of the tractor protection device, and to reduce the tractor overturned during normal operation due to the driver the possibility of injury.The research on the tractor protection device test bench design mainly includes the design of the horizontal loading device, the crushing loading device, the hydraulic loading system and the test bench for the finite element analysis of the main stress components. First it put forward three plan of the test according to the intensity of tractor protection device test methods and acceptance condition, then choose a best solution according to the actual situation. And then selected the best scheme for the detailed design, which include the test bench level loading device and the basic size determination of the crush loading device and the calculation of the main parameters, the calculation of the main parameter of the hydraulic loading system and the selection of the hydraulic components, the system overall structure three dimensional entity modeling and assembly, the fixture of the test bench and the design of the foundation. Finally, simplified the three-dimensional model of the test bench level loading device, then carry out the finite element analysis on the simplify of the three-dimensional model, and then according to the results of the finite element analysis of several modified horizontal loading device structure and dimension, to choose the most reasonable structure design for the horizontal loading device, make the test bench horizontal stress value of each part to achieve balanced loading device, to maximize the use of materials, to reduce material usage, thereby reducing manufacturing costs and the weight of the whole test bench.
