Cadmium(Cd) is one of the most toxic heavy metal. Cd accumulated by food chain and it has a great endander to human health and survive. Under natural conditions, Cd in soil is almost 0.01-0.7 mg/kg.In this experiment, we made a deep study on the tissue culture system and the influence of Cd on Populus adenopoda Maxim.First, we constructed the tissue culture system of Populus adenopoda Maxim. Second, we studied the influence of Cd on the growth of Populus adenopoda Maxim. For the last, we study the accumulation feature of Populus adenopoda Maxim, the index include BCF、 TF and TI, to reveal the Cd accumulation feature of Populus adenopoda Maxim.The results are as follows:1、We successfully constructed the tissue culture system of Populus adenopoda Maxim.2、The seedlings are very sensentive to Cd duress.5 mg·L-1 Cd could effect the rooting process of tissue culture seedlings seriously.7.5 mg·L-1 can lead the rooting time later, root differentiation decreases and turn rough.In appearance,the leaves and seedlings will turn yellow, brown,and getting death. When Cd achieve 10 mg·L-1,there is no obvious root differentiation, root turns brown to dark, then death.3、In water culture experiment, we find the seedlings have a good tolerance for Cd. When Cd concentration in a very low level,it will even have a obvious promotation on the growth of seedlings. But when the Cd concentration getting higher and the treat time longer, Cd will obviously inhibition the growth of seedlings. When Cd concentration gets 40mg·L-1, the growth of seedlings、root morphology will be high impacted, and the seedlings will almost stop growing.We can see, the root morphology is getting simple and the growth is getting bad by the Cd concentration getting higher、Cd treatment time longer.4、Populous adenopada Maxim tissue culture seedlings have a good accumulation in Cd.The Cd accumulation quantity is both very high in the root and the ground part of the seedlings.And the quantity seedlings accumulated has a very close relationships with the concentration of Cd in solution.The seedlings have a good tolerance of Cd,and it can transfer half Cd from root to the ground part of plant, on the other hand, when the seedlings grow to adulthood,it can accumulate times than this,and it also can grow in higher Cd concentration environment.
