Rosa laevigata and Spiraea rosthornii are Rosa and Spiraea plant, both of them have high practical value and potential of exploitation. R. laevigata hardwood cutting was studied based on different type of hormone and concentration, soaking time, cutting medium and cutting season to experiment; S. rosthornii hardwood cutting was studied based on different ABT concentration, soaking time and cutting medium treatments. This study was aimed to find out the main factors that influence hardwood rooting of R. laevigata and S. rosthornii, and then best treatments could be given. This study can provide theoretical basis and technical supports for introducing the two plants in a large scale and exploiting the wild plant resources. The results were as follows:(1)In the experiment of R. laevigata with the 4 level 4 factors orthogonal design, hormone type, hormone concentration, soaking time and cutting medium had a significant impact on the rooting rate, root number, root length and root effect index, some of them reached a very extremely significant level. The order of influence degree of factors on rooting is hormone type> cutting medium> hormone concentration> soaking time. In the 16 treatments, Treatment 11 (ABT 300mg/L+10s+soil) shows best rooting rate up to 53.33%, Treatment 10(ABT 200mg/L+2h+soil and sand (1:1)) shows highest root effect index. Through LSD multiple comparisons, the best theoretical combination of R. laevigata hardwoods cutting is ABT 200 mg/L+0.5h+ soil and sand (1:1).(2)In the experiment of R. laevigata with different cutting seasons, the cutting seasons could influence the hardwood cutting of R. laevigata significantly. The rooting rate, root number, root length and root effect index of cutting on March 4th were 40.00%,10.22, 3.27cm,1.56. When cutting on October 28th, the parameters above are as follows:14.44%, 5.61,1.17cm,0.28. The rooting result of cutting on March 4 was better than that on October 28, in another word, cutting seasons influence rooting significantly.(3)In the experiment of S. rosthornii with different ABT concentration, ABT concentration could affect rooting of S. rosthornii significantly. The best treatment of root effect was ABT 100mg/L. The rooting rate was 36.67%, root number was 7.09, root length was 2.30 cm and root effect index was 0.54.(4)In the experiment of 5. rosthornii with different soaking time, results show that soaking time could affect S. rosthornii root rate significantly, however had little effect on root number, root length, root effect. The best treatment of root effect was 0.5 hour, which made the rooting rate up to 36.67%, root number was7.09, root length was2.30cm, root effect index was 0.54.(5)In the experiment of S. rosthornii with different cutting medium gave a proof to that cutting medium could affect rooting rate, root number and root effect index of S. rosthornii. The best treatment of root effect was soil and sand (1:2), the rooting rate was 42. 22%, root number 7.17, root length 2.31cm, root effect index was 0.55.(6) The best cutting technology of R. laevigata and S, rosthornii is use 200 mg/L and 100 mg/L ABT, and soak half hour. Soil and sand (1:1) is used to cutting R. laevigata, and Soil and sand (1:2) is used to cutting S, rosthornii. Through this way, rooting rate of R. laevigata and S, rosthornii can reached more than 40% and rooting effect quite well.
