Cupressus funebris As the main forest types in Hilly areas of Central Sichuan Province, Due to high density when building cultivation, resulting in sparse understory plant species, poor natural regeneration, damage to biodiversity, More serious pests and diseases, and some even shoot dead dry forest, trees grow slowly, weakening the ability of the stand to keep the soil and water conservation, and the urgent need to restructure science. This study researched undergrowth and soil animal diversity of 33 years Cypress inefficient plantation under different thinning intensity in Jingyang District of Deyang City. A total of 5 treatments were set:CK(Comparison),light intensity thinning (T1,15%),medium intensity thinning(T2,25%),high intensity tending(T3,35%) and heavy intensity thinning (T4,50%). Which can afford technical assistance about optimizing ecosyste structure and function of Cypress inefficient plantation and renovating undergrowth, and then provid-ing theoretical basis for scientific management and sustainable development of Cypress inefficient plantation in hilly area of central sichuan basin. The results were mainly as fol-lows:(1)In this investigation region, there are 7594 plants from 53 species, which belong to 32 families and 49 genera respectively. There are 23 shrub species, which belong to 20 families and 23 genera respectively, and 30 herb species, which belong to 17 families and 26 genera respectively.1234 plants from 35 species in control comparison, which belong to 24 families and 34 genera respectively,1566 plants from 38 species in light intensity thinning, which belong to 25 families and 36 genera respectively,1538plants from 37 species in medium intensity thinning, which belong to 25 families and 35 genera res-pectively.1624 plants from 42 species in high intensity thinning, which belong to 24 fam-ilies and 35 genera respectively.1632 plants from 39 species in heavy intensity thinning, which belong to 27 families and 40 genera respectively. Graminea, Rosaceae and Comp-ositae were the dominant genera in families. Each accounted for 12.24%,8.16% and 6.12% of the total number of genera. Graminea were the dominant species in families, which owned 7 species, account for nearly 13.21% of the total species in the mountain.followed by Rosaceae and Compositae, which account for nearly 7.55% and 5.66%of the total species in the mountain. There were Only two kinds of highest dominant species in genera, which included Pteris、Adiantum、Capillipedium and Curculi, Each accounted for 3.77% of the total number of species. Within the rest of the species in genera was 1 kind, respectively accounted for 1.89% of the total number of species.(2)1591 individuals of soil animals were recorded under the different thinning intensity in Cupressus funebris low function plantations, which belong to 3 phyla,9 classes and 21 orders.Whereby,414 individuals of soil animals were recorded in control comparis-on, which belong to 3 phyla,9 classes and 14 orders.347 individuals of soil animals were recorded in light intensity thinning, which belong to 3 phyla,6 classes and 15 orders.313 individuals of soil animals were recorded in medium intensity thinning, which belong to 3 phyla,6 classes and 13 orders.264 individuals of soil animals were recorded in high intensity thinning, which belong to 3 phyla,6 classes and 13 orders.253 individuals of soil animals were recorded in heavy intensity thinning, which belong to 3 phyla,7 classes and 13 orders. Oribatida, Collembola, Oligochaeta and Hymenoptera were dominant groups in Cupressus funebris low function plantations, the individual number accounted for 73.92% of the total groups.(3) In the 1nd year after thinning of Cupressus funebrislow function plantations, The species, quantity and biomass of the undergrowth were increased. Compared with control comparison, The undergrowth species were increased 3,2,4 and 7 kinds respectively for the light intensity thinning, medium intensity thinning, high intensity thinning and heavy intensity thinning. The quantity of the undergrowth were increased 7100 tree-hm"2,45700 tree·hm-2,62700 tree·hm-2 and 101600 tree·hm-2. respectively for the light intensity thinning, medium intensity thinning, high intensity thinning and heavy intensity thinning. The biomass of the undergrowth were increased by 12.31%,10.57%,9.23% and 1.36% respe-ctively for the light intensity thinning, medium intensity thinning, high intensity thinning and heavy intensity thinning.(4) In the 1nd year after thinning of Cupressus funebris low function plantations,Shrub and Herb species Richnss index, Shannon-Wiener index and Simpson index all increased along with enhancing thinning intellsity. The high intensity and heavy intensity thinning increased obviously(5) Soil animals Shannon-Wiener index Simpson index,Density-Groups index,Pielou index,Richness index, Shannon-Wiener index and Simpson index all declinned like wave-form along with enhancing thinning intellsity. Control comparison were significantly greater than the heavy thinning intensity.(6) Through the Pearson correlation coefficient of the bilateral inspection analysis, the correlation between Shrub layer density and biomass. Shrub layer coverage and bioma-ss,the total coverage and Shrub layer biomass. Shrub layer Shannon-Wiener index and biomass of undergrowth, Shrub layer biomass and the total biomass of undergrowth were positivesignifieant(P<0.05). The correlation between Shrub layer density and the total biomass of undergrowth, Shrub layer coverage and the total biomass of undergrowth, Shrub layer Simpson index and total biomass of undergrowth were extremed positive signifieant(P<0.01). Ho were, The correlation between Herb loyal species diversity index, density, coverage coverage and biomass of undergrowth were not signifieant(P>0.05).(7) Through the Pearson correlation coefficient of the bilateral inspection analysis, the correlationof Shrub layer Richness and Soil animals Density-Groups index. Shrub layer Simpson index and Soil animals Shannon-Wiener index, Shrub layer Simpson index and Soil animals Simpson index.Herb layer Simpson index and Soil animals Simpson were negative signifieant(P<0.05). The correlation between Herb layer Simpson index and Soil animals Shannon-Wiener index estreme negative signifieant(P< 0.01).There was not signifieant correlation between the rest of the index.
