Development And Application Of The Expert System For Diseases And Insect Pests In Staple Food

In this paper we used the oriented-object development platform Visual Basic 6.0(VB), the data development tools Microsoft Access 2003 and Structured Query Language(SQL), summarized the years’ scientific knowledge and research achievements in the field of plant diseases and insect pests of bulk grain, practical experiences and occurrence of diseases and insect pests in previous years, combined with artificial intelligence and computer technology, developed the expert system for diseases and insect pests in staple food.Query module: users could choose pathogen, name or alias of the diseases and insect pests in staple food. The system displayed the corresponding information of diseases and insect pests. In addition, the attached pictures showed more image and intuitive message. At the same time, the system also provided the scientific prevention method of diseases and insect pests.Diagnosis module: according to the symptoms of diseases, the growth period and the sick parts of bulk food, depending on the user input key description of the diseases and insect pests, the expert system made reasoning and diagnose. At the same time, the user make the diagnosis more accurately through viewing the pictures of.Prediction module: through finishing the occurrence of diseases and insect pests and the corresponding climatic conditions, the expert system predicted the possibility of diseases and insect pests.Information module: when the expert system showed the users information of diseases and pests, the words were mainly used and the pictures were auxiliary information.
