Ningxia Yanchi County, the ecological environment is fragile, combined with the unreasonable utilization of mankind, resulting in serious land degradation. In this paper, fencing grassland community characteristics under different management measures and its influencing factors were studied to explore the enclosed pasture vegetation changes, analyze the change factors.The results showed that:(1) Liu yang bao artificial enclosure area appeared a total of 14 families and 42 species of plants. Seasonal enclosure pasture appears largest number of plant species, followed by not fencing pastures, appears the least number of plant specie is full enclosure pasture. Liu yang bao artificial enclosure area is mostly perennial herbaceous plants. (2) According to the results of NMDS analysis, the artificial fencing grassland was divided into 3 groups. Ⅰ:Artemisia scoparia+ Astragalus melilotoides. II:Sophora alopecuroides+ Heteropappus altaicus.Ⅲ:Artemisia ordosica+ Salsola ruthenica.(3) The H index and D index of seasonal enclosure pasture was the highest and full enclosure pasture was the lowest. The index of βw、βs、βj increased with the increasing of the different enclosure years. βw index changed observably, βj and Ps indexs are slowly increased. The γ diversity of seasonal enclosure was higher than that of complete enclosure and no enclosure. The γ diversity was lower in the complete enclosure.(4) The total complexity of seasonal enclosure was the highest, followed by full enclosure, and the last is not fencing pasture.(5) Soil bulk density and soil crust coverage are the main environmental factors affecting plant community in fencing grassland in arid area based on CCA.
