| The stump cutting machine used in this study can meet the requirements of stump cleaning after logging on both sides of the urban road and on the complex woodland. But, when the machine is being operated, because of the constant changing cutting force in cutting hand and the vibration occurred in engine, the operator may feel strong vibration in the operating handle. In order to improve the vibration condition of this machine, a lot of works were carried out.1) The acceleration of vibration in the handle was test and evaluated by the hand-arm vibration evaluation standard ISO5349. The allowed ages for the operators to operate this machine is less than one year.2) The finite element model of the stump cutting machine was built and validated by combining the model test and theoretical calculation and simulation analysis. The finite element model of the frame-handle and the whole machine can be proved with high credibility.3) The input power spectral densities of the engine vibration excitation were got by numerical simulation, while the cutting vibration excitation in cutter hand was got by tests. The vibration simulation was done in the ANSYS Workbench and the result was carried out almost similar with tests.4) The optimization schemes were put forward and validated by vibration analysis. By evaluating the output vibration of the handle after optimization, the allowed working ages for the operators were improved to 3 years. In the following studies, the finite element model of this stump cutting machine can be used to design more optimization schemes and do the validation. The allowed operating ages for the operators should be improved more. |
