Studies On Distant Hybridization Of Rose And Waterlogging-enduring Evaluation Of Four Rosa Plants

Rosa cvs.is one of the most famous ornamental plants in the world which have abundant cultivars while only 1% of the cultivars are bred by Chinese. Our country has abundant Rosa resources. Rosa resources in China and around world should be efficiently used.This research adopts method of interspecific cross between wild roses and modern roses to foster rose cultivars with high resistance and with tolerance to extensive management During 2014～2015, With 186 cross combinations,the total number of pollinated flowers being 2464.98 mature hybrid fruits and 597 seeds were obtained. the total fruiting rate is 4%.7 seedlings have been obtaind till April in 2016, with germination rate of 1%.The seedlings are 1 of R.’Fiona’ ×R.canina ’Inermis’xR.prmula,1 of R.’George Vancouver’ × R.laxa,3 of R’Watercolors’× R.laxa,1 of 445×R.xanthina f.spontanea,1 of445 × R.laxa.Morphology and SSR molecular makers were usd in hybrid identification,and all seedlings were confirmed as real hybrids.Rosa laxa has good affinity to rose cultivars. The genetic diversity of 16 Rosa accessions including wild roses.modern rose cultivars and their coeno-species were analyzed with SSR makers.The 32Rosa accessions could be divided into two groups based on the UPGMA cluster at Ll,while Rosa laxa and some modern rose cultivars clustered into one group,and R.’Fiona’、R.prmula and R.xanthina f.spontanea are in the other group.By analyzing the fruiting rates and clustering results, the results were concluded that the fruiting rates are mainly influenced by relative relationship.Choosing 4 Rosa species and cultivars(R.’Fen Shan’, R.palustris, R.laxa, R.’Hong Shuang Xi’) to observe and test soluble sugar content,praline content and methane dicarboylic aldehyde content indexes in 50 waterlogging days,the results show that 4 Rosa species and cultivars are with high resistance with waterlogging stress. R.’Fen Shan’ and R.laxa adapt to waterlogging stress by osmotic adjustment;and 4 plants are excellent waterlogging-resistance germpasm resources.
