Fluid hill-drop seeding is an effective way against drought, saving water, protecting seeds on and increasing yield. The seeds metered by the previous fluid seeder of Shenyang Agricultural University distribute in strip and the hill space is not ideal. So new hill-drop metering mechanism of fluid seeding was developed to improve hill-drop seeding quality under support of the National Natural Science Foundation (51275319).The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:The overall structure of the cell wheel hill-drop fluid seeder was designed. The parameters of the cell wheel and the relationship of its speed with the speed of the ground wheel were determined according to kinematic analysis. Mathematical model of zero speed seed dropping was established, the relative position between seed metering device and the opener was found and the main structure parameters of liquid discharge pipe and length of side opener were determined. Circular, rectangular and V shape metering cell wheels were modeled and simulated and the parameters were optimized with software "Fluent, and the results showed that the wheel with V shape cell is optimal. The prototype with optimized parameters were manufactured. The optimum range of forward speed of the machine and ratio of seed and gel were determined through single factor experiment,. Taking forward speed of the machine, ratio of seed and gel and shape of the cell as experiment variables, the length of seed and gel of a hill and hill space as the test index, orthogonal experiment and analysis were carried out and the results showed that the cell shape is very significant to the length of the hill and the hill length is 40.6mm, hill spacing is 276.1mm, and the variation coefficient of hill space is 10.2% at the optimal parameters combinations of fluid hill seeder with, forward speed of machine of 0.65m/s, ratio of seed and gel of 2grains/100ml, and cell shape of V, which can meet the requirements of fluid seeding technology, and it provide reference for the study of fluid seeding machine.
