African rice(Oryza glaberrima) has distinct abiotic and biotic resistance characteristics and is considered a valuable resource for improving environmental adaptation in Asian rice(Oryza sativa). In this study, the African rice, NERICA and introgression lines(ILs) derived from interspecific crosses between Oryza glaberrima and Oryza sativa, were used as experimental material. Eight agronomic traits, salt tolerances and barnyard grass inhibition characteristics were evaluated. The main results are as follows:1. The introgression lines and NERICA were grew and identified in the wuhan. The ILs showed larger phenotypic variation, and agronomic performance of ILs, such as plant height, panicle number, spikelet number, filled grain percentage and panicle length were better than that of NERICA.2. Pearson’s correlations between phenotypic traits were analyzed; the results showed that the plant height and spikelet number, days to flowering were significant positive, which correlation coefficients were 0.449, 0.479, and 0.279, respectively. Significant positive correlation were conserved between flag leaf width and flag leaf length, panicle length, days to flowering, while significant negative correlation were found between flag leaf width and filled grain percentage, spikelet number.3. Using the different Nacl solution concentration to test the salt tolerance of different rice varieties, found that the low Nacl solution concentration can promote the rice seed germination in some degree, while high Nacl solution concentration significant inhabited the rice seed germination. What is more, the evaluation results showed that most the African rice showed high salt tolerance, some ILs such as U2, U22, U46 etal and NERICA like U53, U56, U63, U67 etal also showed high salt resistance.4. The results of inhibition of the grass showing that different rice varieties had different inhibition of barnyard grass. The barnyardgrass inhibitory R value were came from the rice accessions effect the barnyardgrass seedling shoot length and root weightheavy. We got six rice varieties which showed significant inhibited the development of barnyardgrass according the barnyardgrass inhibitory R value.5. Correlation analysis was carried on with 250 polymorphic markers which which had study in our research group and and 8 agronomic traits, two salt weed suppression index. Statistical significance related markers were collected. Multiple linear regression analysis was made according to Kraakman’s multiple linear regression program for the obtained markers from correlation analysis. Twenty two AFLP markers associated with eight agronomic traits. Three AFLP markers associated with salt tolerance, and 3 Three AFLP markers associated with inhibition of barnyard grass. There were 7 markers originated in African Rice(RAM3).
