This study was to investigate the effect of totally substitution of wall-broken yeast powder (YCW) with spray-dried plasma protein (SDPP) in piglet feed on the growth performance, serum biochemical profile, intestinal immunity, and intestinal microbial composition in piglet. Fifteen pregnant sows (gestation time= 110,2-4 parity) were randomly divided into three treatment group (n=5):control group in which sows were feed with basal diet; YCW group in which sows were feed with basal diet+4% YCW; SDPP group in which sows were feed with basal diet+4% SDPP. The results as follows:1 growth performance and diarrhea rateCompared with control group, YCW and SDPP increased the daily feed intake but have no statistical difference(P>0.05). However, YCW and SDPP significantly increased the average daily gain compared with control(P<0.05), but there is no difference between YCW and SDPP(P>0.05).Meantime YCW significantly decreased the diarrhea rate compared with control and SDPP group (P<0.05)2 biochemical profileBefore weaning, compared with control group, addition with YCW significantly decreased serum cholesterol (CHO) concentration(P<0.05); SDPP significantly increased the serum concentration of triglyceride (TG) (P<0.05); simultaneously YCW and SDPP significantly increased the low density lipoprotein (LDL) (P<0.05). After weaning, addition of YCW and SDPP significantly decreased the concentration of Alanine transaminase (ALT)、Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST)、blood ammonia (AMM)、creatinine (CRE)、low density lipoprotein (LDL)、CHO,and TG(P<0.05).3 immune-related gene expression in small intestineAfter weaning, in duodenum:compared with control group, YCW remarkably increased TLR4 expression (P<0.05); SDPP significantly increased NOD2 and EIF5A expression (P< 0.05); meantime YCW significantly reduced the pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1βand IL-10) expression (P<0.05); SDPP significantly decreased the expression of IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-10(P<0.05).In jejunum: compared with control group, YCW remarkably increased TLR 4 expression(P< 0.05); moreover YCW and SDPP decreased the expression of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and TNF-α(P<0.05). In ileum:compared with control group, YCW significantly upregulated the expression of IL-6, IL-8,IL-10, TNF-a, NOD2, TFF, and EIF5A (P<0.05); simultaneously SDPP also remarkably increased the expression of IL-1β,TNF-a, NOD2, and TFF(P<0.05).4 intestinal microbial compositionCompared with control group, addition of YCW and SDPP exhibited no effect on intestinal microbial composition(P>0.05).
