Drip Irrigation is one of the most accurate and saving irrigation modernization in the world now, it’s not only very suitable for arid area, also suitable for vegetables and trees that need to precise irrigation control. With the growing shortage of water and the continuous development of science and technology, accelerated development of greenhouse irrigation technology, drip irrigation has become a kind of advanced technology that has wide application range and bright prospect. Drip Irrigation is faced with many new problems because of the development of greenhouse, for example, drip irrigation planning and design work is becoming more and more heavy and complicated, lots of manpower, material and time are necessary for this tedious calculation process, and it’s less likely to compare with different design program. The problems reduce the efficiency of drip irrigation design and hinder the development of drip irrigation, so it gives rise to the application of greenhouse drip irrigation software and meet the requirement of high efficiency for drip irrigation system design.This research according to the current pavilions and league building sunlight greenhouse area, planting structure characteristics in our country, analysed and determined the arrangement of greenhouse drip irrigation system, summed up the current main methods of pipeline hydraulic calculation and their advantages and disadvantages, obtained relatively accurate results by empirical formula of local head loss coefficient, determined suitable hydraulic calculation formula for greenhouse cultivation characteristics and irrigation requirement. Proceed interface design by MATLAB GUI, graded for interface and cleared specific function of all grading interface. In the process of concrete calculation, the continuity of interface and data transfer mode, mainly through M file to realize programming. Writing code in the M file in order to realize the query and calculation of hydraulic calculation design, database management, document management etc, and realized the query function of specific parameters in drop head and pipe hydraulic components and investment estimation. The user could use the software to arrange hydraulic network and realize hydraulic calculation of emitter, pipeline based on the existing natural conditions(soil, crop, climate, topography, etc.) and production data(hydraulic project status information, agricultural production condition, dynamic data, local materials, etc.). And then, user also could add the limited conditions(capillary limit length, branch limit length) to calculate all levels of the pipe network and regard them as reference results. The user could establish the MySQL database to store and connect the relevant data(equipment, pipe, pipe fittings, hydraulic performance parameters, prices) of drip irrigation system. Through the above measures, user could save the design workload and complement and improve the existing database functions,in order to achieve the final functions of query, selection, addition and modification.The paper elaborated and explained optimization design method of greenhouse drip irrigation based on MATLAB GUI. The paper also verified the feasibility of the software through specific design examples and achieved good results.
