The drip irrigation engineering designs of our country rely on manual design from the beginning, and to the present rely on CAD drawings and Excel calculation. The present method shortens the design cycle to some extent, but considering the tedious calculation process, it has been largely unable to meet the needs of drip irrigation engineering design. Using computer aided drip irrigation engineering design can both takes advantage of computer in drawing, calculation, document processing, and saves design time, improves design efficiency, creates favorable conditions for the development of new products. However, the professional design software of irrigation in our country is very less, yet to reflect computer benefits. In this paper, we depend on "Study on Efficient Water-saving Irrigation development model of Guangxi Sugarcanes (ID:201301013)", which belongs to the nonprofit and special scientific research of Ministry of Water Resources. Based on the existing theory of drip irrigation engineering design, in order to develop the drip irrigation engineering software which is suitable for our country, through the way of human-computer interaction, on the premise of given basic information of irrigated area, according to the planning and design ideas of the drip irrigation engineering, We carry out the research and implementation work of drip irrigation engineering design software based on AutoCAD, and name it CAD system software for drip irrigation engineering design. The software consists of block files, public function files, system configuration files, database files, template files and form files, also including system classes, defined the AutoCAD commands classes and so on. Now we have obtained the software copyright. The main research and development results are as follows:(1) Combined with drip irrigation engineering design theory and related knowledge of software development, C# and AutoCAD.NET API technology and SQLite database were selected as the software development technology. According to planning and design process of conventional drip irrigation project, the system framework contains drip irrigation engineering design and database for materials equipments.(2) Adopted modular structure method, we developed ten functional modules of CAD system software for drip irrigation engineering design, and they respectively were:project settings, irrigation design, network design and layout, pipeline inspection, pipe flow and pipe diameter calculation, pipe edit, hydraulic calculation, water pump type selection, material and equipment schedule, design report generation. Each module was relatively independent in function, but they were interrelated and indispensable on the whole.(3) Materials and equipments database was established. The database included pipe specification table, drip line specification table, pipe fittings table, filtration equipments table, fertilizer equipment table, water pump and motor equipments table and other accessories table, helping the software to realize the orderly management for different materials and equipments.(4) Testing the software by drip irrigation engineering design of sugarcane, the results showed that, the software could complete drip irrigation engineering design work, and could output pipe network layout, alternation irrigation division table, hydraulic calculation table, materials and equipments table and design report, basically meeting the design requirements. After the test, the product was formed, and the software copyright has been obtained.Compared with domestic and foreign software, CAD system software for drip irrigation engineering design uses AutoCAD as the drawing platform, not only conforms to the requirements of the localization, but also has the merits of elevation automatic calculation and design report generation. The software, which integrates drip irrigation system design, calculation, drawing and diagram output, is professional design software and has higher practicability. Using the software to design sugarcane drip irrigation engineering, the design time is shorten from a few days to several hours. Predictably, the software can shorten design cycle, improve the efficiency, and help to change the present situation that drip irrigation engineering designs rely on foreign software or drawing software and office software.
