Swine Pasteurellosis was an acute, febrile infectious disease caused by pasteurella multocida, also known as swine plague. Sepsis and hemorrhagic inflammation was the main characteristic of the acute type of Pasteurellosis. Chronic type of Pasteurellosis often mixed with other disease infection which is characterized by subcutaneous connective tissue and the organs of suppurative lesions. Compound florfenicol injection contains florfenicol and flunixin meglumine. The main function of the new preparation was antimicrobial anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic.Purpose:To study the bacteriostatic activity on common respiratory pathogensin vitro and explore the clinical treatment of Compound Florfenicol injection against artificially infected Pasteurella multocida in pigling. The therapeutic effect of pigling respiratory disease. Based on the above results, show the clinical application of drug provide reference. Methods:Minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC) of Compound Florfenicol injection against Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus parasuis, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Streptococcus were detemined by two-fold diltution method in vitro. The piglings were infected by Pasteurella multocida artificially to carry out therapy in vivo. All the infected piglings were medicated via neck muscle injection with Compound Florfenicol injection groups(1 ml/15 kg, 1 ml/7.5 kg, 1 ml/5 kg), Florfenicol group(40 mg/kg), Flunixin Meglumine group(3.65 mg/kg).Results:The results of the antibacterial activity in vitro showed that MIC of Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus parasuis, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Streptococcus for Compound Florfenicol injection was 0.59 μg/mL, 1.09 μg/mL, 0.59 μg/mL, 2.12 μg/mL. The results of clinical treatment on pigling withPasteurella multocidainfected indicated that in Compound Florfenicol injection groups(1 ml/15 kg, 1 ml/7.5 kg, 1 ml/5 kg)the increased rate of weight were( 10.19±4.84)%,( 14.33±4.07)%,( 15.53±5.38)%, and the mortality were 10%, 10%, 0, and the improvement rates were 60%, 90%, 100%, and the cure rates were 20%, 90%, 100%. The increased rate of weight in Florfenicol injection group was( 9.90±4.25)%and Flunixin Meglumine group was( 8.02±3.83)%.Compound florfenicol test injection of porcine respiratory disease cure rate was 90%, florfenicol test injection of porcine respiratory disease, the cure rate was 80%.Conclusions:The antibacterial activity of Compound Florfenicol injection against Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus parasuis, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Streptococcus were better than Florfenicol injection. The protective effect of Compound Florfenicol injection on artificial infection of Pasteurella multocida in piglings is better than that of Florfenicol injection. The clinical treatment of Compound Florfenicol injection on the clinical therapeutic effect of pigling respiratory disease is better than that of Florfenicol injection. It proposed that neck muscle injection of 1 ml/7.5 kg therapeutic dose of the Compound Florfenicol injection, one time every 7 days for two times, if the symptoms are severe and can be administered for one time every 2 days for two times.
