This experiment was conducted To investigate the therapeutic effect of flunixin meglumine(FM) on endometritis caused by endotoxin level increasing because of kidney and liver damage.5healthy cows without any disease and20cows with significant clinical endometritis after postpartum two weeks were divided into five groups, respectively, which were healthy control group (Ⅰ), conventional therapy treatment group (Ⅱ), sensitive antibiotic treatment group(Ⅲ), FM Intramuscular injection with conventional therapy treatment group(Ⅳ), FM Intramuscular injection with sensitive antibiotic treatment group (Ⅴ). Conventional therapeutic treatment in Cattle farm was putting3g oxytetracycline into uterine each time. The dosage of FM intramuscular injection was10mg/kg body weight. The susceptibility test showed florfenicol was the sensitive antibiotic. Adding8g florfenicol Crystalline powder into100ml saline to compound the suspension, which was putted into uterine by50ml each time. Drugs were used in each group every other day, respectively. Blood samples and uterine secretions were collected at the0th,9th,16th days for determination of endotoxin and blood biochemical indices levels, the main results were obtained as follows:1. The results of the blood endotoxin level testing experiment showed that:Compared with0th day, blood endotoxin levels of each group were decreased at the9th day. there were5cows’ blood endotoxin levels decreased in both Ⅲ and Ⅴ group, while there were3cows’ blood endotoxin levels decreased in both Ⅱ and Ⅳ group after treatment at9th day, however endotoxin level of group Ⅲ rised more obvious at the end of the experiment. At the16th day, there were more cows in Ⅳ and Ⅴ group whose blood endotoxin levels were decreased than in Ⅱ and Ⅲ group. There were2,3,4,4cows’ blood endotoxin levels decreased in those four groups after treatment at16th day, respectively.2. The results of the uterine secretions endotoxin level testing experiment showed that:Compared with the0th day, uterine secretions endotoxin levels of each group were decreased at the9th day. There were more cows in Ⅳ and V group whose blood endotoxin levels were decreased than those in Ⅱ and Ⅲ group. There were1,2,4,4cows’ uterine secretions endotoxin levels decreased in those four groups after treatment at9th day, respectively. At the16th day, there were4cows’ uterine secretions endotoxin levels decreased in group Ⅴ, which was one more cow than those in Ⅱ and Ⅳ group.3.The liver function indicators showed that:Compared with the0th day, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) content of Group Ⅲ at the16th day was increased by75.64%. Compared with the group Ⅰ, aspartate aminotransferase (AST) content of orther Groups were significantly increased by58.22%,92.88%,145.21%,121.10%at the0th day, by112.91%,88.89%,126.13%,93.09%at the9th day, and by174.34%,91.78%,81.33%,82.57%at the16th day, respectively, but, there was a significant downward trend in the Group Ⅴ of AST content during the entire experiment, compared with the0th day, at the16th day and0th day in group Ⅴ was decreased by20.32%and31.23%. γ-glutamyl transferase (gamma-GT) levels of Group Ⅲ at the16th day was increased by35.59%compared with the0th day. Compared with the0th day, total protein(TP) concentrations in blood at the9th and16th days of Group Ⅲ were increased by24.77%and29.75%significantly, while they were decreased by16.95%and24.63%in group Ⅳ significantly. Compared with the0th and9th days, TP concentrations in blood at the16th day and0th day in group Ⅴ was decreased by16.58%and17.29%. Compared with the0th day, albumin(ALB) content at the9th and16th days in group Ⅲ was increased by25.16%and31.99%, was decreased by16.88%and18.67%in group Ⅳ, respectively.4. The renal function indicators show that:Plasma urea nitrogen content at the16th day in Group Ⅲ was increased by118.42%and64.03%, compared with the0th and9th day. It was decreased by44.83%at16d in group Ⅳ, compared with Od, respectively. The blood biochemical indexes content changes were statistically significant (P<0.05).In conclusion, FM could protect liver and kidney of the cow, who infected endometritis, through inhibitting the rise of the uterus and blood endotoxin concentration caused by endometritis, reducing the plasma AST level, making the high levels of plasma total protein and albumin return to normal, and reducing the concentration of plasma urea nitrogen, significantly.
