Forest ecosystem is an important role of terrestrial ecosystems, its carbon storage plays a very important role for global climate change and material circulation, it can regulate global climate change directly or indirectly. Thus, the research of forest carbon storage estimation is not only conducive to delve into carbon cycle of terrestrial ecosystems, but also helpful to evaluate a wide range of ecological quality. However, during the estimation process owing to the impact of nature and human activities, and complex biological, chemical and physical processes of carbon cycle, the estimation of carbon storage still exist some uncertainty now. When exploring the forest carbon storage, adding in forest carbon storage macro estimate way is benefitial to improve the accuracy of estimation results and timeliness. This article taking Xuancheng city as research object, remote sensing image processing based on Landsat TM data, extracting forest vegetation by means of supervised classification method, and assessing the classification accuracy, statistical analysis of forest vegetation from 1995 to 2006. Using remote sensing spectral values and geo factor construct forest biomass remote sensing estimation model, and then building forest carbon storage estimation model to obtain forest vegetation carbon storage. Then analyze the forest vegetation carbon storage change of Xuancheng city from 1995 to 2006, find that forest carbon storage change shows a decreasing tendency from 1995 to 2006.
