Hopea chinensis Hand-Mass which belongs to Hopea Roxb is a peculiar kind only grow in Guangxi. H.chinensis is famous for corrosion resisitant of its stem. It is also an important indictor plant of tropical rainforest. Previous phytochemical investigation has not been reported. Therefore, the research would report its antifungi activityWith growth rate method, methanol extract of H.chinisis were tested at 10 mg/mL against Gibberella fujikuroi (saw) Wollenw, Gibberella fujikuroi (saw) Wollenw, Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. Cubense race2 etc.and 6 more plant pathogenic fungies. The result showed that the methanol extract has an optimistic inhibition against F. oxysporum f.sp.Cubense race2, with the inhibition rate of 94.88% and and with EC50 values of 2440 mg/L. And it was against.Alternaria.brassicola (Schw) Wiltshire, Curvularia lunata Boedijn, Ceratocystis paradoxa Moreau with the inhibition rate of 86.78%,85.85%,81.02%, with EC50 values of 1650,1470,1600 mg/L, respectively. The inhibition rate of other four plant fungies such as G.fujikuroi, Fusarium oxysporum were distributed in 60%~75%. Methanol ectract has the lowest inhibition agaist Cercospora musae Zimm.Further experiment of different exsolvent of H. chinensisi was taken on the antifungal activity at 5000 mg/L. Petroleum extract, Ethyl acetate extract, Water extract were tested against Helminthosporium turcicum Pass, Helminthosporium oryzae Breda de Haan, Fusarium oxysporum Schl.f.sp and other 18 more plant patnogenic fungus The result was that Ethyl acetate extract showed best antifungal activities among three solvent layers, flowed by Petroleum,water extract was the lowest.. Ethyl acetate extract had a stronger antifungal action on G. fujikuroi, C.lunata, C.paradoxa, A.brassicola, R. solani, P.nicotianae with the inhibiting rate of 89%,94.12%,90.35%,89.93%,85.13%,100%, respectively. And the EC50 valual of each was 2640,610,460,460,3460,470 mg/L, respectively. Petroleum extract had a strongest antihibiton against H. torulosum with inhibiting rate 81.40%. The inhibiting rates of water extract were all below 60%.With spore germination method, the inhibition of Ethyl acetate extract of H.chinisis was tested on C. paradoxa, A. brassicola at 5000 mg/L to ascertain the influence on sporngony. The result showed that Ethyl acetate extract had an active restrain on sporogony of C. paradoxa, A. brassicola, with the inhibiting rate 94.39%,87.25%, and EC50 valual was 720, 1780 mg/L. Ethyl acetate extract were add in PD medium to know the influence of Ethyl acetate extract made on the amount of the thallus of C. paradoxa, Gfujikuroi, C.lunata, A. brassicola,intend to. The result turned out to be the inhibiting rate of Ethyl acetate extract were 97.35%,73.67%,87.45%,90.97% at 1200 mg/L, and EC50 valual of each were 510,770, 760,760 mg/L, respectively. Three temperature treat were used to test the stability of the Ethyl acetate extract, result showed that there was no apparent differentce after 60 ℃、80℃、 100℃ treated for 30 min.By using the activity-guided fractionation,8 compounds were isolated using gel CC, ODS and Sephadex LH-20, and 3-epifriedelinol, morolic acid acetate,β-sitosterol were determined by spectroscopic means.The plant of Hopea Roxb has a long history as medical Anti-inflammatory drug use. Especially reports on antibacterial and acetyl cholinesterase research, but there is little news about their use on pesticide. This study proved that H.chinensis had an excellent antifungal activity against many kinds of plant fungies, and research on the active compounds of it may offer mew precursor that can be used in new pesticide making wich is friendly to both the environment and the creauture.
