Currently, due to the deteriorating ecological environment and people’s irrational exploitation. Prompting arid and semi arid region increasingly serious soil salinization, Agricultural production has a very big impact. As a good alfalfa forage legumes, not only to provide high-quality forage for the development of high quality and efficiency of animal husbandry, but also improve soil salinization, and improve their productivity. Currently, in arid, semi-arid planting on saline soil region to promote the very few varieties of alfalfa, alfalfa and restricted the application in the region. Provide the basis for the cultivation of saline soils in the region to promote the cultivation of alfalfa salinity.8 Medicago sativa materials were studied in the thesis, seed germination under different NaCl concentration test, pot experiment and field trials at different total salt concentration, in order to filter the strong salinity of several alfalfa cultivars material. The main results were as follows:1. Petri dishes in the laboratory germination test conducted on eight alfalfa seed material under salt stress on germination salt tolerance evaluation results show that the presence of salt tolerance differences between the materials and alfalfa was significant Level. The average half lethal concentration was 0.65% under NaCl stress. Descending order of salt tolerance:Zhongmu NO 1> Zhongcao NO 6> Juneng Salt > Zhongcao NO 3> YL-92> YL-702> SS12-1> Reindeer.2. Potted planting experiments in the greenhouse, salt tolerance were evaluated on eight alfalfa seed material under salt stress emergence situation, the results of the germination test dish of salt tolerance level substantially identical. Therefore, the available seed germination test material largely determine the salt tolerance of alfalfa, but to evaluate its potential application, the need for evaluation in the field planting experiment.
