Study On Recognition And Processing Of Acoustic Signal For Lamb Seeking For Mother Based On Matlab

Grassland animal husbandry is the main industry of Inner Mongolia area. it has become the economic foundation and pillar industry of Inner Mongolia. Inorder to achieve a better welfare of sheep farming and to reduce the sheep’s mortality thus to improve their living standard, the research group proposed the research on the identification of the behavior characteristics of the sheep and the digital expression method based on the acoustic signal.This article used Matlab to process and analysis the sound of different types of sheep, then extend the research of sound of goat to use the digital recorder to record the sound of two 20 days old lambs that of different types of sheep to seek mother then research these two kinds of sound from time domain, Frequency domain (which includes amplitude spectrum, power spectrum, cepstrum, spectrogram) and so on. this article use these two kinds of sound to build a system for the process and analysis the other kinds of sound of sheep.The results show that there is obvious difference between the sound of goats and sheep lamb from the same kind of behavior this system can provide software support for the identification of the sheep voice signals in the future.
