With the advancement of agricultural modernization, especially the rapid development of greenhouse vegetable cultivation, managers‘ senses and experience based the indistinct management has not been suitable for the evolution of modern intelligent agriculture. Meanwhile, environmental parameters of the greenhouse, such as air temperature, air humidity, gas concentration of CO2, sunlight intensity, and moisture of soil, etc., have affected the yield and quality of the crops, relating to the benefits of greenhouse owners. Therefore, the short-distance wireless sensor networks, integrated with Zig Bee, Bluetooth, WIFI and sensor techniques, are widely applied to the agricultural Internet of Things. Most of these information acquisition systems, however, are limited to collect and display the environmental parameters. They do not have the functionality of security detection, such as animal intrusion detection, which may cause potential safety hazards in greenhouse.In this thesis, an Internet of Things based system of environmental monitoring and management is designed to address the problems of quantitative assessment of environment parameters and further to resolve security detection in greenhouse on the basis of the ARM and the Andriod system. It can also detect ambient information and security information in the vegetable greenhouses. In this system, a Zig Bee based information acquisition node is designed for real-time multipoint monitoring of the environment parameters by combining with the wireless sensor network technique. Meanwhile, the ZStack is used to construct the underlying communication network of monitoring system and interact with the monitoring gateway. Besides, the Micr owave induction detection technology is utilized for environmental security detection in greenhouse.The experimental results represent that the designed system not only realizes the greenhouse environment monitoring of distributed multi-nodes, but also guarantees the safety of crops in the greenhouse. The uniform time-interval sampling in the stage of data acquisition can effectively prolong the service lifetime of batteries. In addition, various intelligent services can be achieved by deeper exploiting th e monitoring gateway data.
