The classification of forest plant community, diversity analysis and sorting is the basis for the protection of forest vegetation restoration and utilization, it has very important theoretical significance. In this paper, Mengshan mountain forest community is the research object, using TWINSPAN classification to divide the plant communities on the Mengshan mountain; using the richness index, Shannon-Wiener index, Simpson index, Pielou index to represent a diversity of all levels of the forest vegetation community; using the CCA sorting method to reveal the relationship between environmental factors and forest plant communities in various levels, in order to enrich the basic data of Mengshan mountain forest communities, protect forest communities and species diversity, and finally realize the sustainable development of forest ecosystem in Mengshan mountain. The results are as follows:According to the TWINSPAN classification method, the field survey of 24 Mengshan mountain forest communities are divided into 9 categories, these communities can basically represent the type of Mengshan mountain forest vegetation. They are Assoc. Quercus variabilis-Vitex negundovar -Oplismenus undulatifolius, Assoc. Quercus variabilis-Quercus variabilis-Melica scabrosa, Assoc. Pinus tabulaeformis-Sorbus alnifolia-Melica scabrosa, Assoc. Pinus tabulaeformis-Robinia pseudoacacia-Carex callitrichos, Assoc. Pinus tabulaeformis-Vitex negundovar Achyranthes bidentate, Assoc. Quercus acutissima-Forsythia suspensa-Oplismenus undulatifolius, Assoc. Larix principis-Fraxinus rhynchophylla-Melica scabrosa, Assoc. Pinus thunbergii Parlatore-Vitex negundovar-Oxalis corniculata, Assoc. Acer grosseri Pax-Celtis bungeana-Oplismenus undulatifolius.The diversity index of each level of the overall community is herb layer> shrub layer> tree layer, the result of the survey is different from most temperate mountains, because of the serious damage of local medium altitude shrub layer. The species diversity curve is a multi peak type, peaking at 400m,850m and 1000m, this is closely related to the light, water and heat conditions, human disturbance, habitat change and many other factors. The difference between the average a index of 4 major advantaged communities is very small, and has not yet reached the top of Mengshan forest community, human disturbance and other factors. This is because Mengshan mountain forest community has not yet reached the top state.Accoding to analysis the relationship of the environmental factors and the overall community, arbor layer, the shrub layer, herb layer, the dominant species, we can find that the contact of the altitude factor and the various levels is closely, the influence of other environmental factors is not of uniform size. The result of CCA analysis is an objective reflection of the relationship between environmental factors and community.
