Monarda didyma is a plant of the genus Labiatae, which is also perennials and fragrant plant. It has luxuriant branches and leaves, gorgeous color, neat flowers and long florescence. Although the planting management of Monarda didyma is extensive and simple, it has good landscape effect and higher value of gardening. The central and western regions of Inner Monglia belongs to semi-arid climate region, which is suitable for cultivation of Monarda didyma. In order to rich biodiversity in the central and western regions of Inner Mongolia and achieve fully tap the landscape value and economic value of the region, therefore Monarda didyma breeding technology becomes extremely important and valuable.In this thesis, Monarda didyma as the research object, beginning with the soft cutting orthogonal experiment of four factors and four levels, It has a total of 16 exemperients, each test has three repeats. Studying on different substrate ratios, different parts and different cutting length of cuttings, different concentrations of ABT, their influence on the rooting rate and other root index, and then conduct Monarda didyma planting orthogonal test, research on different water cycle, different planting conditions, different fertilization factors on its survival vate, seeding height, crown breadth, leaf area, leaf number index, finally conduct on the single factor experiment, study the growth of the characteristics on Monard didyma in different planting conditions, by use of Excel software and Spss software to analyze test results, obtained the following results: (1) In the cutting experiment, using the matrix ratio for 6:4,cutting parts of the top branches, length of cuttings to 10cm, the concentration of ABT 1000ppm, its cuttings rooting rate, root length, root dry weight reached optimal. (2) Monarda didyma has two comprehensive rooting types, cortex rooting type and callys rooting type. (3) In Monarda didyma planting orthogonal tests, the most suitable for the growth of Monarda didyma foster conditions:Under the condition of tunnel to 3 days for high irrigation cycle,N fertilizer, the survival rate of the United States mint, crown breadth, seedling height, leaf area, leaf number reaches the highest. (4) In single factor experiment, the covering film before planting the west high survival rate, seedling variation, the crown changing quantity and quantity, leaf area, fresh weight on the ground were higher than in furrow planting and bare land planting.
