Lingwu long jujube is an excellent fresh jujube in Ningxia. It has strong adaptability, rich nutrition and remarkable benefit. In recent years, with the development of Lingwu Long Jujube, we need a meticulous management of water to improve fruit quality and achieve higher efficiency. The evapotranspiration of Lingwu long jujube provides the theoretical basis for the scientific management of soil moisture. The paper was based on the 10 years’ Lingwu long jujube. We selected three plantations(DaQuan Forest Center, Ningxia Silver Lake Forest Farming Development Company, Chang Zao Manor) and used Penman-Monteith method, water balance method and photosynthesis method to measure evapotranspiration of LingWu long jujube. It aims to study the water requirement law of Lingwu jujube and to provide guidance for soil moisture management. The main conclusions are followed:(1) Daily transpiration rate was single peak curve during June, July and September. But the changes of daily transpiration was bimodal curve during August. Monthly transpiration was different when the Lingwu jujube was planted in different plantation plots and different months. During August, planting transpiration of DaQuan Forest Center was maximum (0.87m3), while during June,Ningxia Silver Lake Forest Farming Development Company was minimum (0.32m3). During the growing season, the total amount of transpiration in three plantations is 2.65m3,2.48m3 and 2.63m3 respectively. The total transpiration per unit area were 3100.53m3/hm2,2289.54m3/hm2 and 2895.93 m3/hm2.(2) Monthly evapotranspiration which was estimated by Penman-Monteith was different when it was planted in different plantation plots and different months. In August, the per unit area evapotranspiration of Chang Zao Manor was maximum(2094.88m3/hm2).while in June, Ningxia Silver Lake Forest Farming Development Company was minimum (933.53 m3/hm2).During the growing season, the total transpiration per unit area were 5050.52 m3/hm2,4923.49 m3/hm2 and 5291.89 m/hm2. The total deficit of soil moisture in per unit area (evapotranspiration> rainfall) was 3767.13m3/hm2,3495.38m3/hm2and 4005.51m3/hm2(Chang Zao Manor).(3) Monthly evapotranspiration which was estimated by water balance was different when it was planted in different plantation plots and different months. During August, the per unit area evapotranspiration of Chang Zao Manor was maximum(2115.12m3/hm2),while in June, Ningxia Silver Lake Forest Farming Development Company was minimum (861.75 m3/hm2).During the growing season, the total transpiration per unit area was 3866.88m3/hm2,4586.59 m3/hm2and 5293.47 m3/hm2(Chang Zao Manor). The total deficit of soil moisture in per unit area (Water demand is greater than the amount of rainfall) was 2580m3/hm2,3300.24m3/hm2 and 4007.12 m3/hm2.Above all, during the growing season, it showed that the total evapotranspiration of per unit area was 3866.88~5050.52m3/hm2,4586.59~4923.49m3/hm2 and 5291.89~5293.47m3/hm2. The rules of evapotranspiration was August> July> June> September.
