To solve the bottleneck problems of low soil nutrient and water content and use efficiency, high basicity and soil bulk density, easily result in soil hardening, low yield ect. in vegetables which adapted to cool climate cultivation at hilly area of southern Ningxia. Field experiments were designed to research the influences of drip irrigation amount and drip irrigation fertilizer use to the growth, quality, yield and nutrient accumulation rules. To discussed the appropriate level of drip water and fertilizer amount about three major vegetables cultivars(Baby cabbage, Red cabbage and Celery), summarized the characteristics about drip irrigation water and fertilizer demand. Providing a scientific basis for rapid development of cool climate vegetables which grow up with integration of fertilizer and water and its high quality and efficiency plant. The main research results as follows:(1)The minimums of soil moisture which conducive baby cabbage growth healthy in a irrigation cycle was about 60% of field capacity. Watering 85m3/667m2 was better for increasing plant height, mass growth, accumulation of dry matter and enhancing root vigor, improving commodity quality simultaneously, and yield-increasing effect is remarkable. Watering 55~70 m3/667m2 was beneficial to improve nutritional quality, reduce nitrate content, increase the content of Vc, soluble sugar and soluble protein. According to the dynamic change features of the soil moisture. The appropriate level of drip water for baby cabbage was 75~85 m3/667m2 was more beneficial for water effective use.(2)The purple cabbage watered 90~105 m3/667m2 was increased plant height, dry matter accumulation, mass growth and net photosynthetic rate, reap good commercial quality, yield and input-output ratio.Watering 60~90 m3/667m2 was reduced nitrate content and enhance Vc,soluble sugar, soluble solids and anthocyanins content, consequently improved quality. The appropriate level of drip water for purple cabbage was 75~90 m3/667m2, it was benefical for got higher water use efficiency and it had no drought stress for plant.(3)Drip irrigation fertilizer consumption and demand characteristics of baby cabbage and purple cabbage: Compared with the non-fertilized condition, the treatment of fertilized 24~30 kg/667m2 was effectively promote the leaf expansion and heart wrapping of plants, enhance root vigor and net photosynthetic rate, increase the dry matter accumulation and mass growth, improve quality of commodity and physical and chemical properties of soil. The treatment of fertilized 12~18 kg/667m2 was more beneficial to improve nutritional quality, reduce nitrate content, increase the content of Vc, soluble sugar and soluble solids. The average ratio of NPK about baby cabbage was 1:0.08:0.47.The average ratio of NPK about purple cabbage in rosette stage was 1:0.03:0.44 and in heading earlier stage was 1:0.27:0.65,then it was 1:0.07:0.61 during the days followed.(4) The drip irrigation fertilizer and water consumption and demand characteristics of clery:That the application amount of irrigation fertilizer was 45~60 kg/667m2,it promoted nutrient absorption, quality and yield, especially the amount 45 kg/667m2 was better for nutritional quality. The average ratio of NPK about clery in seeding stage was 1:0.05:0.54.then it was 1:0.09:0.78 at 48~60 days,it was 1:0.28:1.63 during the days followed.Watering 300~350 m3/667m2 has a preferable function of improving quality, not only lower the nitrate content and increased the amount of Vc and soluble solids. Watering 350 m3/667m2 promoted celery growth and increase yield and economic income.
