The field experiments were carried out with eight indica-japonica hybrid include Yongyou1573, Yongyou1952, Yongyou4340,Yongyou4348, Yongyou4356, Yongyou538, Yongyou1538, yongyoul540, four japonica conventional rice include Zhengdaol8, Wuyunjing30, Xiushui09, Xiushui134 and four indica rice include Liangyoupeijiu, Yangliangyou6, Zhongzheyoul, Fengliangyouxiangl as materials in outside erperimental base of agriculture college of Yangzhou University in Dongqiao County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang province in 2013-2014.. The characteristics of yield and its component, characteristics of carbohydrate production, and characteristics of nitrogen uptake, utilization and translocation in the indica-japonica hybrid rice of Yongyou series were analyzed systematically. The main conlusions were as follows:(1) The yields of different types of rice were significantly different. The grain of indica-japonica hybrid rice of Yongyou series was 11.32 (10.04~12.09) t hm-2, which increased by 20.94% and 33.65% compared with two control types; The total spikelets was increased by 47.78% and 59.55%; The seed-setting rate and 1000-grain weight were smaller; The panicle length, grain density, Number of primary branches, grain per branch of primary branches, total grains of primary branches, NO. of secondary branches, total grains of secondary branches were more than two contrast types.(2) Number of stems and tills of different types of rice reached the rrgreatest at jointing stage, which the japonica conventional rice> hybrid indica rice> indica-japonica hybrid rice. Number of ineffective tiller of indica-japonica hybrid rice was smaller, and its spike rate was great at maturity stage. Dry matter accumulation of rice cultivars of japonica indica hybrids of yongyou series were more than two contrast types. Its ratio to total present jointing-heading> heading-maturity> swing-jointing; The leaf area index of japonica indica hybrids of yongyou series at jointing stage were situated between two contrast types, and it was greatest at the booting stage. Ratio of leaf area of productive tillers, Ratio of leaf area from flag leaf to 3rd leaf, grain-leaf ratio, and Photosynthetic potential were greatest. Size and leaf posture of the top-most three leaves of japonica indica hybrids of yongyou series were greater than two contrast types. The angle between stem and leaf, drppping angle were situated between two contrast types. Light transmittance, SPAD value of flag leaf during late stages, Breaking resistance, bending moment and lodging index of each basal internode were great.(3) The N content and N accumulation of indica-japonica hybrid rice of Yongyou series were 1.48% and 203.69 kg/hm2 in heading,1.31% and 258.27kg/hm2 in maturity, which were higher than two control types. The highest periodical N accumulation was 108.38 kg/hm2, with the highest proportion in total and periodical N uptake rate of 41.95% and 2.74 kg/(hm2·d) for the indica cultivars in jointing to heading stage, and for the hybrid indica rice in transplanting to jointing stage. The N content of stem-sheath and leaf were 1.20% and 2.35% in heading stage,0.74% and 1.58% in maturity stage, which were higher than other two control types. The proportions of N accumulation were 43.98% and 43.88% in heading,16.35% and 17.38% in maturity, which were significantly larger than the hybrid indica rice. The N translocation amount was larger, but the apparent transport rate and transport contribution rate were low. N uptake per 100 kg of grain was 2.28kg and partial factor productivity of applied N was 37.73 kg/kg, which were higher than the two control types. N utilization efficiency for biomass production, N utilization efficiency for biomass production and N harvesting index were lower.
