On the basis of networking technology, this paper explored the three-layer framework and key technology of greenhouse monitoring system. A comprehensive system, beneficial from ZigBee networking technology and GPRS wireless communication technology, is established in order to remote monitor various conditions of the green house. Besides, such system is also capable of date collection and sharing.This paper mainly deal with the following aspects:(1) The monitoring targets, environment and other main affecting factors are analyzed.The overall framework and functions structure of the greenhouse monitoring system is designed including the following parts:log & management module, data display module, remote control module for greenhouse equipments and system management module.(2) Telecommunication network of this system is designed. Besides, the hierarchy and topological structure of ZigBee network are constructed. Such framework makes the information of each sensor node inter flow in the network.(3) Telecommunication of GPRS network is established for uploading the collected data onto the cloud platform server. It makes managers of greenhouse capable of accessing server via mobile communication network and sending orders for control.Inside the greenhouse install several kinds of sensors, which will collect the environment parameters for plants growth, such as air temperature and humidity, soil temperature and humidity, density of CO2 and light intensity. The ZigBee network consists of perception nodes, routing nodes and coordinator gateway. Moreover, GPRS network and Internet are helpful for data interaction. Through the agricultural intelligent management platform of web client and smart phone terminal based on Android, managers can check the monitoring data and be aware of the state of crops. At the same time, managers can also control the greenhouse equipments in a remote way, such as ventilation, shutter and irrigation.Finally, such system test results show that this system functions well in the agricultural base. All those designed modules can satisfy the supposed requirements both at web end and the intelligent mobile phone terminal.
