Our country is a large agricultural country, but it is also a country with relatively poor water resources, which are unevenly distributed and inefficient in total amount. Agricultural water consumption accounts for the vast majority of the whole country, and the shortage of water resources is an important factor which restricts the development of agriculture in China. As we all know,irrigation water is an important part of agricultural water and irrigation area canal mostly belong to open channel. Since the 1990 s, with the acceleration of the Rehabilitation of Irrigation Project and the construction of Water Saving renovation project, the traditional water allocation and measurement technology has no longer met the development requirements of agricultural production, and the channel in medium-sized irrigation district has already been standardized channels, which provides us a good foundation and condition for the study of the new open channel flow measurement system and promote Irrigation automation,information technology. This study, referring to a large number of domestic and foreign literature, and combined with the current situation of the actual measuring flow of the open channel in China’s irrigation districts, researchesand designs a new Internet of things based angle open channel automatic measurement system.The new Internet of things based pitch type automatic open channel flow system breaks through the traditional thought and theory, mainly by using the angle change to reflect the open channel flow, with the angle signal collected and transmitted to the main controller by the photoelectric encoder. After a large number of experiments in the u-shaped channel laboratory, the Angle-flow mathematical model is established. This model has been written into the program, and in the actual flow measurement, water flows through the rocker,the angle corresponds to the open channel flow, and the flow rate value can be displayed at the scene of the screen, which can be read stored and analyzed directly through the wireless transmission module on the Internet, thus realizing the automatic flow of open channel. The research and design mainly independently complete the following contents:(1) Accomplish the selection and design of the overall plan of the Internet of things based angle type automatic open channel flow system bu using sensor technology, Internet of things technology, computer technology and related professional knowledge;(2) Design and complete the hardware circuit part of the system, including the signal collection of photoelectric encoder and ultrasonic sensor signal acquisition, wireless transmission module, and liquid crystal display module,etc.;(3) Complete the writing and debugging of system software programs by using JavaScript and golang programming language;(4) Do a large number of experiments in the laboratory of standard specifications of the u-shaped channel, and finally establish the mathematical model on the relationship between angle and flow;(5) Design and make a mechanical fixture for the Internet of things based angle type automatic open channel flow system.This study, combined with Internet of things technology, sensor technology and computer technology, designs and realizes a brand-new method of measuring flow. It is easy to operate, and has realized in the real sense automatic flow measurement, with the results read and stored remotely through wireless transmission. It also has certain practical value and promotion value for standard channel automatic flow measurement in China’s large and medium-sized irrigation districts.
