This experiment aims to clear the nitrogen accumulation, distribution and transfer characteristics of maize, and nitrogen utilization efficiency under the mulched drip irrigation by treating material with different nitrogen application rate. Nonghua 101 was the material used the in the experiment.5 levels of nitrogen application rate were conducted(0 kg·hm-2,100 kg·hm-2,200 kg·hm-2,300 kg·hm-2,400 kg·hm-2), studied the effect of nitrogen application on accumulation, distribution and transfer characteristics of dry matter and nitrogen, photosynthesis and nitrogen use efficiency of maize under mulched drip irrigation. The main results as follows:1. N application significantly increased amount of dry matter accumulation. In early growth period, dry matter accumulation amount of 200 kg·hm-2 nitrogen application rate was the highest, and it was 300 kg·hm-2 nitrogen application rate was the peak point in in later growth period, however, the treatment of 400 kg·hm-2 was still in lower level, which means that high nitrogen levels could suppress the accumulation of dry matter during earlier stage while improve the level during later stage. In the mature period, most dry matter amount transported to the grain was at the nitrogen application rate of 200 kg·hm-2 nitrogen treatment. Among different nitrogen treatments, with the increase of nitrogen application rate, dry matter translocation amount and translocation efficiency showed a trend of increase then came after a decreasing, dry matter transfer contribution rate is falling for grain.2. In the mature period, nitrogen accumulation amount of 300 kg·hm-2 nitrogen application rate was the highest, the treatment of 200 kg·hm-2 nitrogen application rate had the highest nitrogen translocation amount and translocation efficiency.3. Ear leaf SPAD value and LAI both increased separately with the nitrogen treatments, the most highest value of ear leaf SPAD value and ear leaf net photosynthetic rate was at the treatment of 300 kg· hm-2 nitrogen application rate.4. With the increase of nitrogen application rate, nitrogen recovery efficiency in season nitrogen agronomic efficiency, and partial factor productivity were significantly declined. The highest yield was at the 300 kg·hm-2 nitrogen application rate treatment. In certain range of nitrogen application, N application could significantly increased the amount of dry matter accumulation and nitrogen. dry matter and nitrogen distribution in different organs is reasonable under mulched drip irrigation. In the agricultural production, adjust nitrogen application ratio to meet the demand of maize for nutrients, it is the necessary way method to increase the yield.
