Objective To study the magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging (DTT) in the brainofmultiple sclerosis lesions and lesions next to the performance of the clinical applicationvalues in normal brain white.Method3.0T MR for clinical diagnosis of brain14cases of multiple sclerosis patientsand20healthy volunteers underwent conventional MRI scans and DTI scans,Select thetypical lesion region, NAWM in healthy volunteers and lesions in the same anatomic site asthe region of interest to measure the diffusion tensor parameter values: FA、ADC and MDvalues, three groups and the results of quantitative analysis and statistical analysis, the sametime, the selected region of interest to carry out DTT,then comparative observation ofpatients and healthy volunteers, the nerve fiber bundlemorphology and out of shape.Result The FA average value of Multiple sclerosis lesions is (0.32±0.09)×10-9mm~2/s, theADC average value is(1.15±0.02)×10-9mm~2/s, MD(1.11±0.16)×10-9mm~2/s.The FA averagevalue of NAWM is(0.43±0.09)×10-9mm~2/s,the ADC average value is(0.81±0.01)×10-9mm~2/sand he MD average value is(0.92±0.13)×10-9mm~2/s.The FA average value of healthyvolunteers is(0.51±0.05)×10-9mm~2/s, the average value of ADC is(0.75±0.04)×10-9mm~2/s andtheaverage value of MD is(0.76±0.04)×10-9mm~2/s. The FA、ADC and MD value havedifferences in thalamus and internal capsule of the group of multiple sclerosis lesions, thegroups of NAWM and the group of healthy volunteers. But the differences were statisticallysignificant (P>0.05).There are differences in the FA、ADC and MD value of The corpuscallosum、the Semi-oval center and the Parietal.Pairwise differences were statisticallysignificant also(P<0.05).Conclusion By diffusion tensor imaging techniques can not only analyze thecharacteristics of MS lesions, but also to show the microscopic abnormalities of the NAWM, amore accuratereflection of the pathological changes of multiple sclerosis. DTT can directly observe the lesions in white matter fiber bundle damage, provide a valuable basis for theobservation of the MS lesion evolution and clinical treatment efficacy assessment.
