Objective The purpose of this study was to find the main influencing factor of curative effect of radio frequency current ablation Surgery, For these influencing factors, the method of surgical treatment which was rational, standardized and scientific was suggested. In order to improve the success rate of surgery, and reduce recurrence and associated complications. Methods The patients of atrial fibrillation undergoing open heart surgery were enrolled in our study, who had radio frequency current ablation surgery in the department of cardiac surgery of the Affiliated Hospital of Ningxia Medical University, from April2003to February2012. And the follow-up time was3months, confirm whether the atrial fibrillation has been turned to sinus heart rate, using logistic nonlinear regression analysis, and relative statistics processing, understand the main influencing factors of atrial fibrillation efficacy after radio frequency current ablation Surgery. Results There were52cases with sinus rhythm. There werel2cases with atrial flapping. There were4cases with dead, sinus rhythm. All the patients were follow-up of3months,49cases were sinus rhythm.2cases were atrial fibrillation recurrence, and1case was atrial flapping. Total cure rate was67.12%(49/73). The main reasons of atrial fibrillation recurrence and death were older, too longer atrial fibrillation history, too bigger left atrium, no postoperative use of antiarrhythmic drugs. Conclusion We should select the appropriate parents on the basis of relatively small age, short history of atrial fibrillation age, small left atrium, and postoperative timely applying anti-arrhythmic drugs, It is expected to increase success rate of surgical radio frequency treatment of atrial fibrillation.
