The new rural cooperative medical system is the realization form of equalization ofpublic services in rural areas, also has the basic link of the security system of socialism withChinese characteristics for peasants.The peasants are the main body in the new ruralcooperative medical system. With guidance and support of the government,followingprinciples which are voluntaries, benefit and moderate, the system raises money by variousways and fights disease through medical assistance. The system is also a way of lighteningmedical burden and safeguard farmer’s health.This paper does the empirical research of the new rural cooperative medical system inTangxian county of Hebei province, evaluating its achievements, combing its problem,anglicizing of the reasons that affect it.
