Objective:To explore the correlation between levels of interferon-y(IFN-y) and interleukin-6(IL-6) in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (URSA).Methods:IFN-y and IL-6were investigated in villus of62unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortions women and50normal pregnancy women. Cytokine levels were measured by real-time quantitative reverse transcript polymerase chain reaction (RQ RT-PCR) at the level of RNA, and correlation of its expression level were analyzed by statistical method.Results:1.IFN-y was detected with significantly higher level in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion group compared with the normal pregnancy (P<0.01).There was a low level of IL-6in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion group(P<0.01).2.There was a negative correlation between IFN-y and IL-6(r=-0.43, P<0.05) in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion.3. In patients with URSA, there were no evident correlation between the times of abortion and IFN-y or IL-6expression (P>0.05).Conclusion:1.IFN-y was detected with significantly higher levels in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion group compared with the normal pregnancy. There was a low level of IL-6in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion group.2. There was a negative correlation between IFN-y and IL-6in villi of patients with unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion.3. The expression levels of IFN-y and IL-6in villi of patients with unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion have no correlation with the times of abortion.4.1n URSA group, the increased of IFN-y and the decreased of IL-6expression in the pregnancy may spur the immune balance of URSA excursing to Thl intensified immunological rejection in maternal-fetal interface, missing the normal pregnancy immune tolerance.
