【Objective】This paper aims to compare laparoscopic pelvic autonomic nerve preserving(pelvic automatic nerve preservation, PANP) radical resection of rectal cancer with laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancer (Laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancer, LS) protection effect on sexual function of male patients, so as to provide basis for the clinical operation treatment, seek to the operation mode that can more effectively improve the life quality of postoperative patients with rectal cancer in men.【Methods】77rectal cancer patients were collected from2012August~2013year in October visit in our hospital, was analyzed using prospective cohort. All of them were put into two group as follow: laparoscopic pelvic autonomic nerve preservation for rectal cancer radical mastectomy (group L-PANP, n=37) and conventional laparoscopic rectal resection (group LS, n=40), use the functional index questionnaire were performed on [1] after3-6months,6-12months,12-20months three times for the above two groups of patients with sexual function were followed up,comparison of two kinds of operation mode for evaluation and sexual function in patients with rectal cancer after surgery for men.【Results】77cases of rectal cancer patients were successfully completed the operation, intraoperative、postoperative (hospitalization) without obvious complications infollow-up content. Postoperative L-PANP group1cases were lost to follow-up, LS group2cases were lost to follow-up,64cases were followed up for more than1years after surgery:30cases in L-PANP group,34cases in LS group. One case of anastomotic recurrence and local metastasis during the follow-up period in L-PANP group, LS group had no recurrence and metastasis, there was no death case.【Conclusions】1. Laparoscopic pelvic autonomic nerve preserving radical resection of rectal carcinoma compared with ordinary laparoscopic operation can better protect the male sexual function in patients with rectal cancer after operation.2. Laparoscopic pelvic autonomic nerve preserving radical resection of rectal carcinoma compared with ordinary laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancerin the1year recurrence rate, no significant difference in mortality.
