Current Development Situation And The Optimal Management Of Clinical Path In China

Objective:Make a review of the definite,origin and process of Clinical Pathway,especially inChina and find the imperfection according to the administration.Try to find out a newmethodology which fit for national conditions to develop Clinical Path.Methods:The method of literature analysis,expert interview, field investigation and caseanalysis was conducted to study the domestic and international Clinical Pathwaymanagement model,base on which the author try to find the modern management wayfor CP.Results:The idea of Clinical Pathway evolved from process management in industrial field,which birthed in America1980s and was popularized in1990s. Through the research athome and abroad, CP was proved to play a positive role to medical quality, efficiencyand cost and has a good application prospect. But at the same time, due to the reasonsof such starting late, differences in the state of the union,there are lots of problem of CP in China, such as insufficient understanding,slack supervision, evaluation index,imperfect evaluation index and expense control, low level of informatization. Tooptimize the management of clinical pathway in our country,in this paper,by using theprocess management idea,auther classify the "variation" by medical unit,nursingunit,drug unit and soon on,in order to find the weakest units in the CP system and dosome specific work to optimize CP management. In addition,this study propose thatinformation technology can be combined with CP to achieve "variation" automaticmanagement,so as to realize the dynamic monitoring of the whole process.Accordingto the actual situation of medical institutions,establish experts guarantees to determine“warning value”of “variation rate” for each unit. Use the “warning value” With the aidof clinical path information system,managers can make real-time monitoring of thevariation.When the variation rate reach the warning value, information systerm willalarm automatically.Conclusion:To optimize the management of clinical pathway is a complex research. These jobcan’t depart from the support of relevant national policies and the attention of themanagement of medical institutions. To explore the applicability,scientific andreasonable scheme, scholars need to use modern information technology and make alot of practice based on theoretical innovation.
