Objective: Triple negative breast cancer(TNBC) is defined lack of estrogen receptor(ER),progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor2(Her-2),it had special biological characteristic, include highly invasion, rapidlyprogress and lack of targeted therapy-like HER2blocking agents or hormonal therapy.Syntenin as a PDZ domain containing scaffold protein, plays a role in a variety ofoccurrence and metastasis of tumors.Androgen receptor(AR) may be a potential prognosticmarker in breast cancer.but in some preclinical study androgen receptor(AR) playcontroversial role, can stimulate or inhibite a variety of breast cancer cell lines. This studyanalyzed the correlativity between expression level of AR and syntenin andclinicalpathological parameters in the triple negative breast cancer(TNBC),to attempt toFind a new potential prognostic maker of triple negative breast cancer(TNBC).Methods: To measure the expression level of AR and syntenin by immunohistochemistryin80cases of triple negative breast cancer, and discuss relationship between the twoprotein and clinicalpathological parameters, and use Kaplan-Meier survival curves toevaluate disease free survival of the patients,at the same time use COX proportion regressmodel to multivariate analysis. Results: AR expression was identified immunohistochemically in30of80(37.5%) ofTriple negative breast cancer,while50of80(62.5%) is negative;79of80(98.8%) weresyntenin positive, and that1of80were syntenin negative in my specimen.A negativecorrelation between androgen receptor(AR) expression and tumer grade was significantly(rs=-0.236,P=0.035),however androgen receptor(AR) had no relation with tumer sizeand lymph node status(P>0.05); Syntenin expression was positively correlated with tumergrade(rs=0.230,P=0.04)、tumer size (rs=0.370,P=0.001)and lymph node status (rs=0.296,P=0.008); The results indicated DFS was correlated with tumer size andlymph node status(P<0.05),however it had no relation with AR,syntenin, age andhistological grade(P>0.05).Conclusion: The expression level of AR and syntenin is related to clinicalpathologicfeatures, but whether it will need further study the two protein as new prognostic factors.
