Objective: Analyse different suture method of Achilles tendon rupture, to evaluate theclinical effectiveness of different suture methods on Achilles tendon ruptures. Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed between September2011and May2013,58patients with Achilles tendon ruptures were treated with three different suturemethods. The Achilles tendons were repaired with Krackow suture technique in group1,modified Kessler suture technique in group2and Bunnel suture technique in group3. Thepatients were removed the plaster after4weeks, and did non-weight-bearing functionalexercise. Allowed walking by crutches after six weeks, doing weight-bearing exercisesgradually and daily activities after six months. The average follow-up duration was11months. At follow-up, the postoperative eff ects, functions, and complications wereregistered according to AOFAS score and Arner-Lindholm standard.Statistical tables fromthe X2test with small sample count data rates, λ=1, P <0.05was considered statisticallysignificance, if any significant difference, then fisher, corrected chi-square, permutationmethod pairwise comparisons. Ratio (n1/N) ratio level data expressed constitutes a dataadoption. Each group of rows Wilcoxon rank sum test, study the overall distribution of thedifferences in each position group, with P<0.05was considered statistically significant.Results:58patients53were followed up for at least six months, up to one year and a half.Three groups of patients were no longer Achilles tendon rupture occurs. There was nosignificant difference (P>0.05) in three groups of complications. Follow-up time was10months postoperatively, AOFAS scores three suture method was statistically significant (P<0.05). Two two comparison about three kings of suturing method, modified Kessler sutureis superior to the other two groups of suture method. In terms of excellent rate, modifiedKessler suture group is better than other groups. However, no statistically significantdifference(P>0.05).Conclusion: Three suture tendon rupture in the early postoperative period is nosignificant difference, but the excellent and good rate of modified Kessler suture is higher than other two kinds of suturing method.
