Translating the medical text is meaningful and helpful for studentsmajoring in medical science. This medical text covers a lot of medical knowledge. Many problems wereencountered in translation, such as nominalized words, common words with differentmeanings in medical translation, and long sentences, due to the many differences insentence patterns, expressions, and thinking patterns between English and Chinese. InEnglish, hypotaxis and grammar are emphasized. There are inflections in English likeplural nouns and verb tenses, and the subject is necessary for English. On the otherhand, parataxis is emphasized in Chinese, and there are relatively weaker grammarfunctions. Besides, the sentences are loose and often adopt verbs. At last, manytranslation methods were used to solve these problems in the translation of the sourcetext, including omission, division and reverse translation. In the last chapter of thisreport, some insights are listed in hope of benefiting other translators.
