The Effect Of Methadone Maintenance Treatment On Heroin Addicts Inhibitory Control Function

The drug addiction not only cause health problems of themselves, but also leadto the loss of their families, community and the whole society, and thus it become aserious public health problem. Addiction is considered an uncontrolled impulse whichis a behavior to seek and consume addictive substances. Different theories of addicti-on addictive behavior and relapse after withdrawal. In terms of the drug addiction,what unable to suppress an inappropriate behavior is one of their importantcharacteristics. After withdrawal of the drug relapse behavior mainly in the impulse toonce again seek drug related, therefore, although in the present drug treatment, thefirst physiological withdrawal of drugs can be achieved, relapse after withdrawal rateis as high as95%, which is one of the reasons for drug repeated. Because it is verydifficult to complete withdrawal drug, so in recent years, it has been emergedalternative drug maintenance in the international word， Including methadonemaintenance treatment. So far, it has been a lot of researches of inhibition of herionaddicts, and think that the drug addicts control inhibit function are damaged, but it isnot clear that whether methadone maintenance treatment of drug can inprove theinhibition control function or not. In this study, we combined with ERPs technology,to explore the difference between the methadone maintenance treatment of heroinaddicts and heroin addicts inhibitory control functionIn this study, we take methadone maintenance treatment of heroin addicts andpure heroin addicts as experimental group, healthy subjects who is no past history ofdrug as control group. First，using the Beck depression scale，Beck anxiety inventoryand Aggression Questionnaire to eliminate the effect on bad mood to inhibitioncontrol function, second，using the classic Stroop task and combing ERPs technologyto study their inhibitory control function. The results as follows:(1) Three groups of subjects were not significant in the Beck anxiety scale andBeck depression inventory and Aggression Questionnaire score difference, in orderto eliminate bad mood effects on inhibitory control.(2) Methadone maintenance treatment group and heroin addiction group weresignificantly different in craving degree, methadone group was significantly lower than addiction group.(3) Methadone maintenance treatment group and heroin addiction group weresignificantly different in inhibitory control function, The results showed thatmethadone maintenance treatment of group inhibitory control function impaired.
