This thesis is composed of two parts:Part1: Study on chemical constituents of the fruits of Toona sinen-sis var. schensiana.Chapter1: Summary of the chemical constituents and the pharma-cology of Toona sinensis var. schensianaThis chapter is a summary of the literatures about the chemical constituents andthe pharmacology of Toona sinensis var. schensiana. since1965.Chapter2: Isolation of chemical composition from the Toona sinensisvar. schensianaThe chemical composition of Toona sinensis var. schensiana were isolated by afew of means. The total flow chart was drawed which is used for describing methodsfor extracting the plant.Chapter3: The results of the studyFrom the95%EtOH extract of the Toona sinensis var. schensiana,16compou-nds were isolated. Among them, the structures of12compoundes were identified onthe basis of physical and chemical properties and spectroscopic methods including IR,EI-MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR, DEPT,1H-1HCOSY and HMBC, they are:6-methyldotriacontane (1),1,6-dimethy-eudesm-4(15)-ene-1β,6α-diol (2),3,5-dihydroxy-phenyl ether (3),3,7,11,15-tetramethyl-2,6,10-triene-1,14,15-triol (4), Linoleicacid ethyl ester (5),10-nonacosane (6), Toosendanin (7), β-sitosterol (8), β-daucosterol (9),1,4-epoxy-5-hydroxy xanthium sibiricum11,(13)-ene-12,8-lactone (10),6-methoxy-7-hydroxyl coumarin (11), Liguhodgsonal (12).Part2: The design of the new type of formaldehyde removal equipmentThis chapter is a summary of the harm of formaldehyde on human body and thecurrent use of indoor formaldehyde method. Two new formaldehyde removal equipment was designed and simulated to remove formaldehyde experiment.
