Studies On The Chemical Constituents Of The Seeds Of Toona Sinensis

Four compounds were isolated from the the seeds of Toona sinensis for the first time. On the basis of chemical-physical properties and spectral analysis, they wre identified as following: -sitosterol , toosendanin,scopoletin and gallic acid . In addition , the chemical constituents of essential oil from the seeds of Toona sinensis were studied by means of GC-MS, 40 constituents were discovered and 39 of them were identified which accounted for 86.96% of the total oil amount . The major compoents were sesquiterpenes.
