Objective:To study whether there is difference in the Arteriole to venule ratio in digital image taken by RetCamⅢ by IPP software,and to analyze the factors that affect the retinal arteriole to venule ratio in the eyes of normal neonate in digital image taken by RETCAMIII by IPP software.Method:The chosen neonate were taken photos by RETCAMIII,then with the help of IPP software。Choose the photos we need from the photos above, and make them enlarged and adjusted, the diameters of retinal arterioles and venues through a specified area from the optic disc were measured, counted and compared the arteriole to venule ratio(A/V). We aim to discuss whether there is difference in the Arteriole to venule ratio in digital image and To analyze the factors that affect the retinal arteriole to venule ratio in the eyes of normal neonate through the statistical analysis.Results:(1) As to the first group,there is no significant difference between the right eye and the left eye for the arteriole to venule ratio.In corresponding quadrants of both eyes (p>0.05).However,significant difference was found between temporal and nasal quadrant formost of items in one eye (p<0.05)(2) As to the second group,the retinal arteriole to venule ratio in temporal-up quadrant coursing in the eyes of normal neonate showed direct linear correlation with Correctional gestational age (p>0sig<0.05), and inverse linear correlation with pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome(PHS),the higher the grade of the PHS,the larger the correlation coefficient (P<0,sig<0.05),and had no relationship with the newborn gestational age, sex, weight, ischemia encephalopathy, Neonatal suffocation and mother’s age etc(sig>0.05)。Conclusion:(1) there is symmetrical structure between the right eye and the left eye,however,there is non-symmetrical structure in every temporal and nasal quadrant formost of items in the same eye;(2) pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome can lesson the retinal arteriole to venule ratio,however,Correction gestational age can make it enlarge.
