Research PurposeTo study the current status of sexual knowledge, attitudes and behaviors in Yinzhou district college students, and also to find the influence how sexual knowledge, sexual attitudes, gender, subject and area play in sexual behaviors, then provide references for the college sexual health education, in order to carry out a variety of health education activities.Research MethodUsing stratified cluster method, class as unit, with anonym uniform questionnaires by means of Self-administration, investigation was performed to students from junior to senior in a comprehensive university in Yinzhou, Ningbo in September,2012. SPSS17.0was used to setup database, Chi square test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis Test and so on were conducted to analyze.Research ResultsA total of2028students were approached to participate in the study and the number of effective questionnaire returned at the end of the program was1937. Questionnaire of effective recovery rate was95.51%.1797effective questionnaires had been got, effective rate was92.77%.1. Among1937students, male students reached961, accounted for49.61%, female students reached974, accounted for50.28%and two students were missing, accounted for0.10%. The age of students distributed between16-28years old. Sciences students reached977, accounted for50.44%, Art and human sciences students reached955, accounted for49.30%and five students were missing, accounted for0.26%. Most of students were from town and city.2. Through analyzing1937questionnaires of students, we could learn that the contraceptive knowledge rate of students was below80%. They were not aware of the STD risk and also knew a little of our country’s AIDS current status. Overall gender and grade significantly affected students’sexual knowledge. And the contraceptive knowledge rate of sciences students was evidently higher than Art and human sciences students.3. Nearly1/3students red yellow novel or watched yellow tape and film in their early age. Students’sexual knowledge which from classmate accounted for58.39%. Male students were evidently higher than female students and sciences students were evidently higher than Art and human sciences students in sexual contact respect. Different gender, grade, specialties, area of the students had statistically significant differences in sexual knowledge sources respect.4.6.45%students had sexual behaviors. The every time use rate of condom was only17.60%and pregnancy, abortion occurred from time to time. The sexual behavior rate of male students was higher than female students, the sexual behavior rate of senior students was higher than junior students and the sexual behavior rate of sciences students was evidently higher than Art and human sciences students. With analysis of Logistic Regression, it indicated that gender, grade, sexual knowledge and sexual attitudes were the most significant factors for sexual behaviors.5. The sexual attitudes of students were open.The rate of agreeing with before-marriage sexual behaviors was55.03%and the rate of agreeing with extramatital sexual behaviors was11.46%. Different gender and grade had statistically significant differences. 6. Most of students didn’t have sexual education and only8.05%students learned situation knowledge of STD/AIDS. Students who hoped to learn pregnancy measures accounted for56.53%.86.16%students thought it was necessary to have sexual education in college and only15.75%students thought today’s sexual education was suitable.Research Conclusions1. The college students in yinzhou district mastered sex basic knowledge at the ordinary level, and had a lot of ambiguity cognition and wrong area. Overall different gender, grade and subject students had differences.2. The college students in yinzhou district acquired sexual knowledge in many different ways, but lack of formal channels. Overall different gender, grade, subject and area students had differences.3. College students’sexual attitudes were open relatively and male students were more open than female students.We should promote boys’education.4. Many students had little ability and awareness of protection in sexual behaviors. With analysis of Logistic Regression, it indicated that gender, grade, sexual knowledge and sexual attitudes were the most significant factors for sexual behaviors.5. Most of students wanted to learn sexual knowledge and we should promote sexual education in college.
