Objective:A series of excellent hydrogels were prepared with electron beam irradiation that was clean and efficient. Also, in order to improve the salt tolerance and absorption rate of super absorbent resin(SAR), appropriate non-toxic materials and scientific test methods were selected. The properties of hydrogels, such as the adhesion, the degree of swelling and mechanical strength were investigated. With enhancements of these performance, the application of the dressing prepared was greatly expanded in the clinical treatment.Materials and methods:1. The orthogonal design table was also used in this experiment. The moderately viscous hydrogels with polyurethane film were prepared from poly acrylate sodium (PAAS), poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) and ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA). The performance were investigated and the cell experiments were carried out.2. Adding various amounts of EDTA to the PVA/PAAS/AM (Acrylamide) hydrogel, the new complex hydrogels with the perfect combination of polyurethane film possessed improved flexibility, swelling and adhesion.3.Super absorbent resins were prepared from PVA, PAAS and EDTA with electron beam irradiation. The orthogonal design table was used. After being washed by the solution which consist of deionized water and methanol, and freeze-dried, the properties of the SAR were investigated.Results:1. The swelling in deionized water, tensile strength and moisture vapor transmission rate of ternary hydrogel dressings prepared in this experiment were respectively85557.13±5271.34%,2.88±1.03Mpa (It had a significant difference compared with PAAS/PVA and PVA/PAAS/AM hydrogel dressings, P<0.01) and7607.73±70.19g/m2-24h.2. In this study, the quaternary compound hydrogel dressing had a very good adhesion of tack sticky ball No.32. The swelling in saline of hydrogel that had a significant difference by comparison with PAAS/PVA and PVA/PAAS/AM hydrogel dressings was up to7276.1±1006%(P<0.01).3. The deionized water absorption capacity and saline absorption capacity of the SAR prepared in this experiment were up to821.05±1.61g/g and72.57±3.0g/g, with a significant difference compared with other similar products (P<0.01).The SAR was weakly acidic and had a good liquid retention volume and absorption rate.Conclusion:1. The degree of swelling of the ternary compound hydrogel dressing in this topic was significantly higher than that of other same types. And the new type dressing has a moderate viscosity.2. The absorbency of the quaternary compound hydrogel dressing in this topic was significantly higher than that of other same types. The compound hydrogel dressing which combined with the polyurethane film perfectly had a increased tensile strength. And the application of hydrogel dressing was expanded in clinic.3.The absorption of the SAR prepared in this experiment was better than other domestic and foreign brands of resin. The absorption rate and fluid handing capacity were also very well.
