A Retrospective Research About The Clinical Effect Of Cemented And Cementless Prosthesis In Total Hip Arthroplasty

Objective: To review the clinical effects of cemented and cementless prosthesis on theoperating and post-operating, to analyze and evaluate the results further, in order toprovide evidence for prosthesis choice and prognostic evaluation of total hiparthroplasty.Method: It is a retrospective study of50cases treated with total hip arthroplasty from2011.10to2012.12in the second affiliated hospital of DaLian Medical University,including21cases of cemented hip prosthesis and29cases of cementless hip prothesis.To observe and analysis the effects of cement and cementless prosthesis on theoperating、post-operating and cured conditions. Recording the surgical time, blood loss,postoperative complications, the arris score of patients before and after operation for1、3、6、9、12months. To prepare of the consolidated database, to analyze the two variables,compare the efficacy of two prostheses.Result: All the50patients were successfully replaced, and were followed up for1-12months, average of11months. Cemented group:1patient had deep vein thrombosis,and1patient had pressure ulcer, after12months,20patients could walk independently,1patient can ambulatory activity only.Cementless group: All patients could walkindependently. Compared of the bone cement group, the bone cementless group needshorter operating time, less blood loss, the difference was statistically significant,P<0.05.1、3、6、9、12months after surgery, the patient harris hip score regard, there wasno significant difference between the cemented group and cementless group.Conclusions: Using a cemented prosthesis in total hip arthroplasty can significantlyreduce bleeding volume, but the cementless prosthsis can shorten the operation time. Inthe follow-up period, the cemented group and the cementless group’s clinical effectswas no significant difference.
