Objective: To compare the curative effect of Tangluotong and Mecobalamin on diabeticperipheral neuropathy.Methods:116cases with diabetic peripheral neuropathy patients, using the single blindcontrol method, random range observation group (Tangluotong capsule) and control group(Mecobalamin Capsules treatment),8weeks of medication, in neuro electrophysiologydetection in patients with peroneal nerve motor and sensory conduction velocity appliedbefore and after the treatment, clinical evaluation.Results: After8weeks treatment,the observation group improved better than the controlgroup significantly on motor nerve conduction velocity and sensory nerves conductionvelocity of nervus peroneus communis (P <0.05).Conclusion: The effect of Tangluotong treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy is betterthan Mecobalamin. Objective:Observe the effect of Tangluotong on diabetic peripheral neuropathy (diabeticperipheral neuropathy, DPN) rats, study the protective effect and its mechanism on sciaticnerve cells of DPN rats.Methods:Clean male SD rats were copied diabetic model by injecting STZ, the bloodglucose level and the nerve electrophysiological test success. Experimental packet:1normal control group: basal diet fed rats;2.DPN model group: fed high fat diet;3.Chinese medicine treatment group: high fat and high sugar diet plus Tangluotong treatment.60rats after modeling,2failed model rats, after kicking out the remaining58rats wererandomly divided into2groups,29rats in each group.TUNEL was used to detect the sciatic nerve cell apoptosis; Determination of LDHactivity, MDA content in homogenates of colorimetry; antioxidant enzymes SOD, GSHcontent and8-hydroxy deoxyguanosine was measured with ELISA method.Results:1,The experimental rats after the film of nerve electrophysiological examination, testthe nerve conduction velocity nervi ischiadicus on the right side of rats, except2rats, theother rats nerve conduction velocity was significantly decreased, determine the membranemaking success.2,MDA (1.23±0.19nmol/mg) of Chinese medicine treatment in rats compared withthe model group, the content of MDA (2.35±0.19nmol/mg) significantly decreased in serum,8-OhdG (34.2±8.23ng/ml) of Chinese medicine treatment group than those in the modelgroup of8-hydroxy deoxyguanosine (64.5±13.23ng/ml) decreased significantly, thedifferences were statistically significant (P <0.01). 3,GSH of Chinese medicine treatment group was (3.23±0.19U/mg) compared withDPN model group, the content of GSH (2.35±0.19U/mg) increased with the increase of SODcontent, the Chinese medicine treatment group (59.34±3.01) compared with DPN modelgroup, the content of SOD (37.38±6.01) increased significantly, the difference wasstatistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion: TangLuoTong has protective effect on sciatic nerve cells, this protective effectmay be related to improvement of oxidative injury of rat sciatic nerve cells, while theantioxidant effect possibly by enhancing the ability of sciatic nerve cells against oxidativestress to achieve.
