The Study Of The Clinical Observation On Treating Functional Dyspepsia (FD) Caused By Liver Depression And Spleen Deficiency With The Decoction Of Invigorating Spleen And Smoothing Liver

BackgroundsFunctional Dyspepsia (FD) is a one of functional gastro-intestinal disorders, which is very common to see at clinic but hard to treat. As the society developing fastly, people’s dietetic habit has changed greatly, which makes the incidence of FD in our country higher and higher, and FD become the major one of the illnesses which seriously affect people’s quality of life. Up to now, it is still unclear that what is the cause and the pathological mechanism of FD in the western medicine, though several factors have been proved to be related to FD, such as gastrointestinal disorder of motility function, visceral hypersensitivity, Helicobacter Pylori infection, specific genetic changes, hereditary susceptibility, abnormal gastrointestinal hormone, psychological factors and stressful situation, hence drug treatment of FD has no satisfactory outcome. But traditional Chinese medicine could offer comprehensive treatment and individual treatment according to syndrome differentiation, and it is considered that most Functional Dyspepsia is caused by liver depression and spleen deficiency, thus we could use Decoction of Invigorating Spleen and Smoothing Liver to threat it, which provides a better basis for the clinical medication.ObjectiveThrough using the Decoction of Invigorating Spleen and Smoothing Liver, which including Taizishen20g、Huangqi10g、Guizhi10g、Baishao10g、Shanyao20g、Shengjiang6g、Dazao10g、Chaihu10g、Zhike6g、Yujin10g、Zhigancao6g, to treat Functional Dyspepsia caused by liver depression and spleen deficiency, compared with Domperidone Tablets and Omeprazole Magnesium Enteric-coated Tablets in the western medicine, by means of randomized controlled and single-blind experiment, and observing the therapeutic effect> life quality improvement and recurrence rate, to evaluate the curative effect of Jian Pi Shu Gan Decoction objectively, and find a better effective and secure way to treat Functional Dyspepsia.At the same time, offer a research strategy.MethodsThere were60patients who met the standard of diagnosis and the conditions to enter the experiment were divided randomly into two groups,30patients as the treatment group and30as the placebo control group. The gender, age, and Chinese medicine symptom of the patients in those two group had no significant differences, comparable (P>0.05). Treatment group was given Jian Pi Shu Gan Decoction, which including Taizishen20g、Huangqi10g、Guizhi10g、 Baishao10g、Shanyao20g、Shengjiang6g、Dazao10g、Chaihu10g、Zhike6g、 Yujin10g、Zhigancao6g, a dose of daily, two oral. The control group was given Domperidone Tablets10mg three times a day before meals or Omeprazole Magnesium Enteric-coated Tablets20mg each morning and evening. The course of treatment will last for4weeks.After then, each patient will have a follow-up visit wich last for3months.During the watch, it is forbidden to use any other drugs and treatment of Functional Dyspepsia.Besides, use cases observed in patients with disease-related tables in order to write down change state of an illness、 the recurrence and adverse events. Besides, before and after the treatment, several security check will be need to do.Results1. After the treatment for4weeks, there were6cases were cured,12cases were significantly improved,7cases were in effect and4cases were non-effective among29cases of the experimental group, and the total effective rate is86.21%, meanwhile, there were5cases were cured,4cases were significantly improved,4cases were in effect and15cases were non-effective among28cases of the control group, and the total effective rate is46.43%, there were difference between the two groups in statistic (P<0.05)2. In the aspect of grading TCM symptoms, compared with the control group, certain symptoms of patients in the experimental group such as abdominal distention after eating, early satiety, epigastric pain, lassitude, asthenia, anorexia, depression or irritability, belching and acid regurgitation, had improved obviously by statistical analysis (P<0.05)3. In the aspect of life quality improvement, after4weeks’ treatment, the effect in the experimental group was better then the control group, there were significant difference between the two groups through statistical tests (P<0.05)4.In the aspect of calculating recurrence rate, The recrudescent rates in the treatment group was24.14%, which was lower then53.57%in control group, and there were significant difference between the two groups through statistical tests (P<0.05)ConclusionThe result of the clinical research shows that the Decoction of Invigorating Spleen and Smoothing Liver is superior to Domperidone Tablets and Omeprazole Magnesium Enteric-coated Tablets by its curative effec of treating Functional Dyspepsia caused by liver depression and spleen deficiency, it could improve significantly the clinical symptoms, make better life quality and has lower recurrence rate. Therefore, the Jian Pi Shu Gan Decoction deserves further research and clinical use.
