The Curative Effect Observation And Influence Of Feikang Granules On Serum IL-8in Stable COPD Patients With Lung And Spleen-deficiency

Objective:To observe the effect and influence of Feikang Granules on clinical symptoms, pulmonary ventilation function and peripheral blood level of IL-8in stable Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) patients with lung and spleen deficiency.Methods:The Study included40patients with COPD, and it used randomized, single-blind, placebo-controlled trial design for the stable COPD patients who used long-term bronchi relaxation according to the Gold Guide. In the study, the40cases of patients with COPD were randomly divided into two groups, control group (placebo of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) particles), and Feikang group (pulmonary Lungkang Granules treatment group), with20cases in each group, and comparative research on traditional TCM treatment and placebo treatment was carried out on the two groups after3months of treatment. Furthermore, curative effect evaluation indexes include lung function changes and variation of the peripheral blood IL-8before and after3months treatment;Result:1. Before the treatment, there were significant differences between various TCM syndrome of the two groups of patients (P<0.05); after treatment, various syndrome of the two groups of patients excluding defecate pond had significant difference compared with that of the treatment before (P<0.05); The control group only had significant differences in terms of cough, shortness of breath and wheezing, compared with that of the treatment before (P<0.05), and there were no significant differences on the rest of the indexes (P>0.05); Compared two groups of patients after treatment, exclusive of cough, wheezing, shortness of breath, defecate pond, the rest of the indexes had significant differences (P<0.05).2. Before the treatment, there was no significant difference between the lung function indexes of the two groups of patients (P>0.05); after the treatment, function indexes of two groups of patients had no significant difference compared with that of the treatment before,(P>0.05).3. Before the treatment, there was no significant difference between serum IL-8of two groups of patients (P>0.05); After treatment, there were significantly statistical differences between serum IL-8of the two groups of patients compared with that of the treatment before (P<0.05), and two groups of patients also had significantly statistical differences after treatment(P <0.05).Conclusion:1. Feikang Granules in improving patients with cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, easy cold, spontaneous sweating, loss of appetite and other symptoms of curative effect is better than the control group.2. Feikang Granules in improving lung function has no significant difference compared with cases with purely western medicine, but Feikang Granules can delay the decline rate of lung function.3. Feikang Granules in reducing the content of serum IL-8has obvious advantages, as it can control the airway inflammation.
