The Expression Of FGF21in The Serums And Synovial Knee Osteoarthritis

Object:To investigate the concentration level of fibroblast growth factor21,interleukin-lp and tumor necrosis factor-a in knee synovial fluids and serums on different stages of osteoarthritis,clarify it’s role in the osteoarthritis, provide theoretical and experimental basis to find effective interventions target for the clinical treatment of osteoarthritis.Methods:Collect synovial fluids of32patients with knee osteoarthritis, and classify them into four groups according to the radiography (K-L),each group has8patients; Collect serums of32patients with knee osteoarthritis, and classify them into four groups according to the radiography (K-L),each group has8patients, appoint K-L0grade patients as the controls of the groups of serums and synovial fluids. The levels of FGF-21in synovial fluids and serums were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). The levels of IL-1β and TNF-a in synovial fluids and serums were measured at the same time,to test the feasibility of this study.Results:The FGF21levels in synovial fluids associated with radiographic (K-L) severity of knee osteoarthritis,the correlation coefficient is0.899, and with statistical difference (P<0.05);The FGF21levels in serums were not associated with radiographic (K-L) severity of knee osteoarthritis,the correlation coefficient is-0.126, but without statistical difference (P>0.05);The IL-1β、TNF-a levels in synovial fluids and serums were associated with radiographic (K-L) severity of knee osteoarthritis,the correlation coefficient are0.940、0.925、0.892、0.949,and all with statistical difference (P<0.05)。Conclusion:In synovial fluids of knee OA patients, the level of FGF21were associated with radiographic (K-L) severity of knee osteoarthritis. In serums of knee OA patients, the level of FGF21were not associated with radiographic (K-L) severity of knee osteoarthritis.
