| Objective:To study the anti-infection and bone repair effects of bionic bone containing drug by estab-lishing a tibia bone defect rabbit model of infection-bone defection.Method:Forty-four male New Zealand white rabbits,3months-old, were used for the study. The bone lacunar defect of tibia was exposed about20mm*15mm*5mm, and the defect was inocu-lated into Staphylococcus aureus. After2weeks, we established a tibia bone defect rabbit model of infection-bone defection by culturing surrounding tissue. The rabbits were randomly and equally divided into two groups:experimental group and control group. In experimental group, sulfuric acid-etimicin combined nano-chitosan hydroxyapatite of biomimetic bone material was topical applied in bone defect area. In control group, no material was applied. The results of bone repair was assessed by macroscopic evaluation,X-ray examination and histological analysis in2weeks,4weeks,8weeks and12weeks.Result:Two rabbits were died in the first week after operation. The remaining rabbits were all the tibia bone defect rabbit models of infection-bone defection by culturing surrounding tissue. The bone defect was almost repaired in12weeks by macroscopic evaluation,X-ray examination. Biomimetic bone material was almost absorbed by histological analysis. In experimental group, BMP-2expression was increased in bone defect area. However, in control group, the area of bone defect was bigger than experimental group, and the BMP-2expression was lower than ex-perimental group.Conclusion:Sulfuric acid-etimicin combined nano-chitosan hydroxyapatite of biomimetic bone material could promote the bone defect healing. |
