Purpose:To investigate the relationship between Chinese Medicine Differentiations to age and Lab test indicators like CREA, UREA, fasting Glu, TG, HDL, LDL, cholesterone, etc., though a survey of data collecting from records on our Hospital (GuangZhou TCM The First Ren Men Hospital). Hoping that this can provide Chinese Practitioners some theoretical reference to treat differentiation of Diabetes Mellitus II (T2DM) in the future.Method:Mainly using retrospect research, by standardized questionnaire, seriously select diagnosed DMII patients according to the standards set by The First Hospital of Guangzhou TCM University. Endocrine and Integrated Department from the period of January2009to December2013. Collected general data like signs and symptoms, Lab test results, observed and analyzed the distributions of the regression relationship between the patterns and age groups and some urea, Lab test indicators, like creative, UREA, TG, HDL, LDL, cholestorone, etc. of the selected DMII patients.Result:(1)The Txaditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) differentiations of T2DM are directly related to patients’age groups and duration, yet are not related to sex.(2) The distributions of various TCM differentiations:Heat excessive and Fluid deficiency12%, Both Qi Yin and deficiency44%, Liver and Kidney-Zhang Yin Deficiency19.5%, Both Yin and Yang deficiency24.5%. As seen, both Qi and Yin deficiency is the most highly shown differentiations, and successively reduced with respect to both Yin and Yang deficiency, both Liver and Kidney-Zhang Yin deficiency, and Heat Excessive Fluid Deficiency.(3) Regarding to age group, the middle-aged (45-59years old) is the most highly shown group,98cases in total, i. e.49%. The elderly (those over60years old),80cases in total, i. e.40%. The young person group (18-44years old),22cases in total, i. e.11%. There exists80cases of the young person group belongs to the Heat Excessive and Fluid Deficiency, Qi-yin Deficiency2cases, and no case belongs to both Liver and Kidney-Zhang Yin deficient, as well as Yin and Yang deficiency; for the middle-aged group, the most seen pattern is Qi and Yin deficiency,84cases in total, both Yin and Yang deficiency6cases, Liver and Kidney Zhang deficiency5cases, yet Heat Excessive and Fluid deficiency3cases, yet for the elderly group, the most seen pattern successively, is Yin and Yang deficiency43cases, Liver and Kidney-Zhang Yin deficiency,34cases in total, both Qi and Yin deficiency,2cases in total, and Heat Excessive and Fluid Deficiency1case. All cases are of P<0.05, i. e. of statistically significance.(4) Comparing various differentiations and age group to fasting glucose, all P are>0.05, indicated there exists no statistical significance.(5) Comparing various differentiations and age group to UREA and CREA, both Lab test results of the Yin and Yang deficiency group are remarkedly higher than other3differentiations. However, comparing various differentiations to CREA (P<0.05) is of statistical significance, while to UREA (P>0.05) is not.(6) Among the differentiations, all selected Lab test all selected Lab test results of theT2DM patients, like CHOL, TG, HDL, LDL values are over the standard, yet only the P value of TG, CHOL and LDL are P<0.05, but HDL is not. Regarding the comparison to the three age groups’HDL(P>0.05) is of no significance, while all3other Lab test indicators (P<0.05) are of statistical significances. This is shown that all various differentiations, of a direct relationship to CHOL and LDL.Conclusion:(1) There exist direct relationships of Chinese Traditional Medicine Differentiations of T2DM and age group as well as duration. It seems that the TCM Differentiations evolved following an order of Exessive Heat Deficient Fluid→Qi Yin Deficient→Liver-Kidney Zhang Deficient→Yin Yang Deficient according the aging process.(2)There exists a relationship between the Chinese Medicine Differentiations of T2DM and various range on some lab test indications, however, comparing fasting blood glucose with various TCM Differentiations, P>0.05, indicating no statistical significance, yet comparing with TG, LDL, CHOL and CREA all P<0.05, of statistical significance. Older the age, abnormality of the CREA, TG, LDL and CHOL are more remarkable.
